  1. Alder is outstanding fire wood!! One of the best, IMO.
  2. The owner is also a time served mechanic, he has several older machines and maintains them himself.
  3. The client could be liable, they have recognised a hazard, but failed to mitigate it.
  4. I can get the best operator you will find and a 5 tonne machine for £180+VAT per day.
  5. Ahh!!!! that explains all the annoying texts
  6. Exactly!!!!!! How someone with 10 years experience would not know this is beyond me.
  7. I would speak to your bank, it often costs less than you think.
  8. I put some glue in the opening and being the other side I was able to remove the stud that holds the saw attachment, put a washer on it and then when refitted it squeezed the seam closed, it now only weeps occasionally. I'm going to try the heat gun when I get chance.
  9. My 540 tank has done exactly the same, but the opposite seam. The build quality is pathetic, IMO.
  10. Give over!! you only weigh 10 stone!!
  11. People on here slag of people for selling wet wood as seasoned, but when someone suggests selling unseasoned at a lower price, clearly stating it needs seasoning, people find fault Storage costs money, anyone who thinks it doesn't needs to go look at their costs, because there are will be lots of other costs your not considering.
  12. Got to say I've been changing chipper blades for over 15 years and never used a torque wrench, never had any problem.
  13. Its OK saying buy another small rear handle saw for ground work, but thats another saw to carry, store and prevent from being stolen from site.
  14. I'm pretty sure it will have been the way the saw was being used, IE one handed, that led to the fine, not simple the use of a top-handle on the ground.
  15. Really????? of the last 40 plus years I can only remember a hand full of easters when its snowed, sure its not unusual or rare to get snow, but I think its much more common to not get it and I'm further north than you.
  16. Will saws without bar be OK???
  17. Never believe what a seller tells your Buyers control the market, not sellers, don't be fooled
  18. Really!!!!!!!!!!!!!! fantastic!!!!!
  19. My 201 14" was 50 drive links, my 540 14" is 52 drive links, if that helps any.
  20. Judging by the thread title you are easily pleased ……..
  21. They were just on the shelf at my dealers, you just need 2 more drive links then the 201 of same bar length.
