  1. You can legally cut back to boundary, so long as there is no TPO and your not in a conservation area. As they had told you they do not want the branches I would be neighbourly to dispose of them your self. If the tree is as you describe, your arborist should be able to access the tree from the over hanging branches on your side, if he crosses the boundary without consent, he would be trespassing. As the tree was there before you bought the house, would it not have been better to find a house without such a neighbouring tree?
  2. Sorry, read it as "working as an independent contractor". Seems strange he did not go after the main contractor?
  3. It says he was self-employed, he was working for the NT he tried suing them and lost.
  4. If he was a sole trader, I don't think EL would have helped him.
  5. Poor bob, he seems to have had more than his fair share of sadness.
  6. Not great, you need sub 12mm, IMO.
  7. The problem is the EU use a Solid gold, diamond encrusted knife and by the time they have finished getting their grubby little mitts on the cake there only crumbs left for those in the most need, the level of corruption in the European Parliament is quite staggering. Why not keep our money local and help those locally who need it, we are a very generous nation, who give a great deal in foreign aid.
  8. I don't think there is any difference, other than the badge.
  9. We pay Billions into the EU in order for them to give us 10's of Millions back , I say we cut out the middle man look after our own
  10. Got to agree, I haven't encountered any of the problems others have mentioned, I think maybe they are using a rope thats too thick.
  11. How old are you Paul? My first 020 was a 1978 and it was not one of the first.
  12. Your need all bikes fitted with registration plates for it to be enforceable, I can't see it ever happening.
  13. Rubbish!! They said that about our not changing to the Euro, there was going to be a "two speed EU" with us left in the slow lane………………..well it worked out somewhat differently didn't it
  14. I think its actually higher than that, unfortunately
  15. Did you get to keep any of it Andy, after the 28 days?
  16. If there is a ban and an employer allows their employee to use one and they injure themselves, the employer would be in all kinds of trouble.
  17. I have both, but I've not used my LJ since getting the ZZ (mark one) I think the ZZ is much better than the ZZ so long as your on a sub 12mm rope.
  18. Just get the client to sort it or use a third party
  19. So long as you have them clearly idintified I can't see a problem.
  20. There should be a list of species and possibly number.
  21. Got to agree, I've tried loads and they all pants!! The tool I hate the most just now is my 540t, it had such promise but is just more and more disappointing as each day passes
