  1. Some threaded bar, big washes and nuts, would have lasted year!!!
  2. Laburnum.
  3. Can you order a new one?????
  4. You should be OK as you have an email from him telling you to continue after he has seen the netting. Threaten small claims court and follow through if he does not pay up.
  5. Some people are out to get you from the start, possibly had one today. The guy I get in to grind my stumps went to a job for me, lady has said there was a stump at the front, he gets there and there are 2 do we grind the one we think is right? and risk her saying its the wrong one and we end up going back to do the second for free We decided to leave it and go back once we are certain which stump we are being asked to grind
  6. Hehe, thats a modification of a very old joke, it used to include prince Charles and Nelson Mandela, but was not very PC
  7. The tree was damaged, probably by fire, the bark was removed allowing some pathogen in, the tree has compartmentalised the infection, given time the stained area would have rotted out. You can see the trees reaction to the damage with extra timber creating the "C' shaped rings. Its perfectly good fire wood.
  8. Ouch!!!, but it does look like a brilliant piece of kit
  9. IMHO this is one of the advantages of bespoke and unusual kit, if this had been an mass-produced trailer it would have never been seen again. As its so identifiable, plus the market for such a trailer is so limited along with the fact that the owner did such a good job of spreading the news of its theft, probably made it very, very difficult to sell on.
  10. Not many vans tip.
  11. Really, really pleased you got it back :thumbup1:
  12. Its strange, I very seldom look forward to work, but I often find I enjoy it once I'm actually working. My family is far more important than work and the reason I work as hard as I do. Work for me is a means to an end, not an end in itself.
  13. Thats not a normal Aga. Aga's have no door on the firebox.
  14. My Aga has no firebricks, its all cast iron, it does have a riddler. Do you drop the logs in through the top
  15. I can't see how an Aga could be converted to wood. We have a solid fuel one, we burn anthracite. Its loaded once daily through a hole in the hot plate, the hole is only about 4" in diameter and the fire box is very small. The flue gases pass through a hole smaller than an old 50p piece, lighting it with kindling smokes the place out. Rayburns can be converted.
  16. A credit card or overdraft facility is acceptable I believe.
  17. I still have my old paper licence, never got a photo one. Pretty sure it allows 12t train.
  18. :congrats:
  19. I will never understand these I've watched plenty of mupets banging their spikes in and cringed for the poor knees, but I have only ever place my gaffs and let my body weight push them in.
  20. Yes, but with the VAT man you are guilty until YOU prove your innocence.
