I took some of the meat off the out side of the whole gaff, making it slimmer, then just sharpened the tip again.

I've had my Gecko's for 8 or 9 years (I think), up until recently I've only ever sharpened them with a small flat flat file, manly taking off from the bottom of the inner side, you must keep the point on the very outer point off the tip. Recently I took some meat off the the whole gaff with an angle grinder, they are working really, really well now:thumbup1:

Most processors are fine sat on the ground with just the PTO connected, no need to be connected to the linkage, you can move it around with the loader.

If your unable to sleep in to catch up or nap in the afternoon you will be sleep deprived. I generally wake at 5.30 to 6 am every day, but if I've had a late night I will fall asleep in the chair after tea and catch up. Sleep depravation is very debilitating and can actually kill if taken to extreme I believe, its a recognised torture technique.

Theres some money there, must be pretty stressful laying out that sort of cash on trees, but will be very satisfying once they are all established

How would people feel about people doing a bit of minicab driving on the side?? Would you want your daughter/mother collected by an unlicensed cab?? Would they want an uninsured tree surgeon working at their elderly mothers home??

ELI may save you in the situation I described. Should be covered by PLI (not a legal requirement), but if you had that and not ELI, they may try to get out of covering you, with both you should be sorted, IMO.

Once he's in the hospital with a serious injury, the facts will mean little, it will all be down to what you can prove and what his "No win no fee" outfit can make stick. "yes he said if I helped it would be cheaper, I had no idea it was so dangerous and assumed he was insured":sneaky2: I would not want to risk it.

The good news is its decent firewood, dries fast, stayed dry and is a pretty long lasting burn, not fast like Birch.

IMO, yes, they appear to be a very sound bunch, I've not had a lot of dealings with them, but the dealings I have had were excellent!!! a very refreshing change to the other lot (named after a colour and a fruit:sneaky2: )

They certainly won't help, IMO TW are good chippers, but they need to be set up spot on, sharp blades, tight anvil, engine at full tilt, etc, they are pretty low power and a small flywheel, there is little room for things to be out before they stop performing well.

Works for me, but its pretty inconclusive IMO, I would still happily use a Laburnum or Yew chopping board or goblet
