  2. I like that idea .. I'm guessing it would be relatively easy to plumb in to the chipper hydraulics ?
  3. Mostly punk ,80's, new wave, metal indie ,hip hop ,dub ,reggae ,drum and base, dub step ,70's rock , space rock and classical are on my I pod ...oh and a bit of herb Albert
  4. If you would like to pm me any photos you have in mind for an opinion please feel free... I won't mind honestly.
  5. Are they ?? I employ lads and I tell you this, I would not come on an open forum and discus there futures with the world ... I can see why you may need to keep him but that's between you and him... Not every body else on web.
  6. I recon a foot up and its sound not to badly shaken should be productive bit of wood
  7. Can spot a pyrus at 100 yards me mate ... Just don't listen to my fishing stories as its 20" diameter not 36 !

  9. Called out to a large wind blown pear today nice long straight trunk approx 3ft diameter 7ft to first limb and a nice straight secondary the rest looks fire wood will cut off stump tm to see if it is sound if it is, will it be worth milling ? 11. Looking good !
  12. Nice one stevie that's some impressive lifting for a turfor ! Hope you didn't destroy the cambium on that beech lol!
  13. Im pretty sure those ideas have come from a book I'm reading called "feral" by George monbiot and it's giving this argument to re wilding Britain... I quite like the idea tbh.
  14. Its good in the right conditions it's basically a chainsaw lopper ... I am in two minds about it on reductions though its light and easy to use but I have found it really inflames my tennis elbow although it is light you apply to much pressure to make it cut if that makes any sense! Also the potential to tear branches is higher as it won't cut fast enough to chase a cut in some heavier wood.
  15. Can you explain why I went through 6 carbs on the last two 200t's I brought then ? Before that they had issues with the fuel breather snapping off they always have issues with the earth wire breaking and the chain brakes snapping and the anti vibes are medieval.... then there was the exhausts that broke when you looked at them and the air filter covers that magically disappeared in the earlier models ... 200t was frustrating and never had the torque of its older brother the Aluminium 020.
  16. Mmm make them an offer ! I don't think you would loose money on one, but that other igland was cheap!
  17. What are you using it for?
  18. Its worth that all day long really !
  19. Line speed is down to pto speed ... I would say 6 ton is perfect if any thing maybe too big for a 52hp tractor it will probably pull it over or rip the back off so I would not worry about power.. I'm using a similar farmi 3 ton winch on a international b 275 and it's pulling more than enough... Have had it off the ground quite a bit this week. Those older winches are very easy to work on I'm not sure of the health and safety legalities with employers though... But obviously as with all winching operations safety is paramount!
  20. Go for it mr varty .. Cheers tommy what do the college do with it mate? I will probably go with the 4 mile option !
  21. Hi mark, its on a secure sight and will need a bit of organising to get you in also due to h and s reasons the logs have to go as soon as they are cut.. If you can work with us on this then pm me your number .Just waiting for a brake in the rain or some decent frost. Thanks, mat.
