  1. Yeah I just looked at the pics the draw bar looks a little crazy!
  2. Cheers spud I think I'll Change the lines and see what happens, pre filter in carb looks clean.
  3. I think it actually is registered with schliesing from what the original seller has said .. Don't see what the problem is with putting an engine on a tpo chipper it still retains the safety features , although this machine is too old to comply with most of them!! Even so it would be worth buying just to put back on 3 pt linkage if you had the time and skill.
  4. Would be good videos to show a new groundy , the last vid is how you use a rake !! Thanks for sharing james.
  5. Says 90 meters on the riko website. Worth checking out they have the spec table.
  6. It now runs fine half choke but dies with any throttle..,??
  7. Brush cutter is back together but not running ... Tank is seriously venting with the cap it will just about run on half choke or flicking back and fourth between full and none.. Any ideas O grand 2 stroke master??
  8. Felled about 13 big elms in a park 6 or so years ago that had been treated in the 80's to great expense, most had died or were dying at the point of felling so my guess is it had worked to a degree but I don't think any one is offering injections or treatment any more also all other elms in the immediate area had long since died so that's my reasoning to it been effective. Felled quite a few more survivors that to my knowledge had never been treated in the same time period all within a 10 mile radius to these about the same time so it was weird they had survived for so long being left as lone trees to suddenly succumb bearing in mind elm probably accounted for the majority of trees in the area before DED. I dead wooded this one when I was about 17 and it finally died around 7 years ago shame as it was an amazing tree and I don't think a wych elm that is more resilient and has a few survivors.
  9. Do you have a forwarding triailer ? You could keep it simple then and carefully lift logs on to a basic mill, and possibly turn heavy wood when needed although I've never had to do that, just put up the dogs and roll with a Kant hook.
  10. I believe from memory they are identical apart , you can buy a combi tool unbolt from the kombi shaft like I've done with a hedge cutter in utter desperation to finish a job and it fitted straight on a Hl 75... I was advised by a Stihl dealer once though not to buy a combi system as it would be weak ,unfortunately I didn't listen and quite a few problems with shafts especially on hedge cutters and the blower attachment.
  11. No bother mate , looking forward to see some work pics.
  12. If you just brought the non combi head it will go strait on I used to alternate on a hl75 with pole saw hedge cutter and strimmer.
  13. Indeed very versatile knot used it for pulling stumps and trees , I can't tie a Clove hitch though:(
  14. Gustharts for Stihl and I've seen carving bars for husky's in Dixons in Hexham so both could sell you a ready to go out the box saw for carving depending on your preferred brand

    trousers

Very true your not paying for a flashy name , it's durability and comfort I sure notice the difference in between the 100 quid trouser I use for really sticky pine and working in pfanner arborists or sips
  19. Thing that annoys me is lads playing rugby and not coming in Monday because they have broken stuff , when they are self employed they have to come in and slow every one down... Just a thought but I would not pay some one on full pay for what I can best describe as self inflicted injuries although I would and have helped them out I just think it's irresponsible to partake in such things if your work and a team relied on you ... Rant over
  20. Get a 461 then on a 25" if you were a fan of the 460.. I run a 24" on my 576xp no bother though.
  21. This happens more than you think , I don't think people's common sense will ever cease to amaze me.
  22. I've got an old Norwood that does the job , this looks like a rolls Royce in comparison ! Would love to retro fit those dogs.
  23. There I was hoping this thread had died...
  24. I had to take mine off for other reasons like making it easy to identify which ones which ! ....I must be a bit special as I filled up 3 saws with oil in a few weeks some thing I've never done with the stihl can.
