That's confusing the simplicity in my statement... I didn't mention criminals, unless suicide is classed as criminal behaviour?

cheers, Steve

I think you're confusing my reply, more legal gun ownership in the UK does not mean more deaths. I also wouldn't be surprised to find out there's more illegal firearms in circulation but there are proportionally less deaths, harder to prove that one as I doubt anyone has any real clue as to the number of illegal guns in circulation.

I'd agree with that commando, not sure who he thought I was tarring? My point was that more guns in society might mean more gun crime.

I'm prepared to be corrected on that thought!

In Switzerland there is a gun in virtually every household, but their gun crime is lower than almost every other country in the world.

I think you'll find legal gun ownership in the UK has risen over the last 20 years but gun crime involving legal firearm ownership has fallen, so not simples at all.

Roger that!👍

Homocide?

Jesus, don't go there if you're gay then.

Newton, take that as fair warning.

Funnily enough my folks lived there for a few years. When I went to visit them I noticed a real absence of anti social behaviour compared to the UK.

It isn't considered anti social to have a beer on a park bench at lunch time over there. It was common to see well dressed smart people enjoying a can of the local lager in the open at lunch time.

If I recall, Swiss make citizens must take part in compulsory military service from 18.

Yeah, there's a 5.56 Sig in most houses, and ammunition is heavily controlled.
