  2. If the e-clip is not bang on the right size, it might seem to fit ok but not actually do the job properly. Or is the groove on the end of the crank a bit damaged (unlikely)?

    Devon style

I feel your pain! I've sharpened my way through a brand new chain in a day. This stretch under the oaks had 4 fences in various states of decay and an almighty amount of blackthorn tangled up in it all. Those brash piles are pretty much all blackthorn from that 30m, tried to retain and lay all the hazel. It's a bit thin under the two oaks. Not in Devon but west Wales, not really sure of the finer details of the Carmarthenshire style but this is what I'm up to.
  6. Hi everyone, I am a foliage wholesaler and grower based south east uk looking for new suppliers or people with land who would let me harvest from. The varieties I sell depend on seasons and some seasons are much busier volume wise than others. Ideally with spring coming up and in prep for wedding season in the summer I'm looking for things like Birch, Hornbeam, guelder rose, dog rose, whitebeam, beech, rowan, privet, etc I can also sell things like rhododendron, gaultheria and other invasive species in the winter/spring, aswell as at Christmas large amounts of basically any pine/conifers with things like Douglas fir/scots pine/sugar pine and spruce being most popular. If anyone is interested please let me know, I'm based in addlestone surrey and looking for sites preferably within an hour or so drive, but willing to travel if can get right amounts of stock and varieties in one location. I am happy to either harvest myself and pay or collect harvested/bunched products or whatever I'm fairly flexible.
  7. I helicoiled the spark plug thread in a VW Fastback once . Took the engine out to get at it . I asked an old VW air cooled expert ( long time dead now ) called Rudolph Krouzer how I should get the swarf out . He said put the engine back in and start it up . The mag/alloy swarf will just burn away . It did .
  8. Well Googled, Kram. Can you tell me what SRS systems you have experience with? I've climbed with a wrench/hitch combination for well over a decade. Pear shaped (HMS) carabiners do not orientate the system in the best way, due to their asymmetric design. The Rhino does, as would the DMM AmericanO.
  9. Par four again, I'm getting the hang of it now. Wordle 1,685 4/6* ⬜⬜🟩⬜⬜ ⬜🟩🟩⬜⬜ ⬜🟩🟩⬜🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩

  11. Morning, not been outside yet so don’t know. Yesterday was stunning, ditched the big jacket, then the insulated boiler suit. Glorious sunshine and heat on my face. Back up the mountains todays, well the foot,of them, luckily below the snow line but I might get there and it’s a white out 😂
  12. Yeah, aged 14 I got out blind bearings in motorcycles by sticking the case in my mum's oven at full whack until they just fell out... but as you say , sometimes the case needed thumped on a plank 👍
  13. Ford just discovered thousands of old car parts in one of their plants,, they decided rather than scrap them, they would build a whole new car,, It's called the Ford Pubic,,, apparently it's made of old corsairs.

  21. A decent log burner drys all kit ready for the next day👌🏻 I understand not all are fortunate enough to to be bestowed with such a blessing. I find that when it is wet a wicking base layer is a beauty. This sip jacket has been proper, on my second one. The price has got a little on the expensive side efor my liking but it is fairly hardy and waterproof so worth it.
  22. Last 3 pair the insides of the soles broke up and fell out starting from 3 month, completely failed at 6 month.Haix say abuse.Im 13.5 stone, semie retired.
  23. Another ash, trying not to squash the conni below. It was also good to test the clip on my 2511. It works very nicely for one hand stowing.
