Using Ecoplugs on side growths and suckers
Philadelphus replied to Philadelphus's topic in General chat
Thanks wallyrobinet for the point about drift. Am trying to finish off the trunk but save the ivy that is covering it, plus surrounding hedge. Steven P, I have followed your advice over the season - with secateurs, not shears - but wouldn't advise it for a large stump. It's a big tree (3m high and feels like about the same wide...) and shooting all over, including from side shoots. Half a dozen-odd shoots appear for every one we cut. Much of the new growth is virtually impossible to get at through the ivy stems. If I'd known how hard it was I'd have had more of a go at the insurers. They refused to pay for a second go, and suggested we prune it 'as part of the hedge'. Clearly they have NO idea of how fast a lime tree grows. So Ecoplugs it must be. - Today

It wont be left on roof rack unattended overnight, just as no valuable tools are left in it. How much!?! Looks just like a normal extending combination type but with a fancy bottom bar for adjusting it level - while I like the idea, I dont like how its done with a curved bar and I'd want to know spares are available - which dont show on the spares page. I do like using shorty hedge cutters, the Makita UH006 is excellent for cutting thick tops, much quicker than a long reach on a narrow hedge.

Well he won't be paying for them I would imagine as he can be seen asking for donations outside a 4 star hotel he was staying at in Havana before going to the Bahamas to finalise publication of his film. However I'm sure that if he does need funds then he'll sell his villa in Spain 🤞

Now you see, that's useful. The 325 narrow Oregon sharpens with a 4mm file. Is it a standard 325 file holder or a different one?

I’ve had brakes and every thing heat up on 6400 when the brake servo has started to fail. -
Stihl gta26 does wonders for light pruning. 2 batteries, if there is substantial work to be done It is quite a step up from silky. I dont see a point in larger saw if all pruning is up to like 5 inches.

I understand your point. In a sense.

Tried it with WD. Idling and flat out. Seems fine.

I did wonder about the model when I saw it, but i'll keep an eye open too.

Freezing disrupts the cell walls such that the apples can be directly crushed to get the juice. The masceration is a preconditioning in front of the press. Where is @Peasgood he is into commercial scale cider making.

This advert is for my Timberwolf TW150DH woodchipper. It is in good condition for the age, and has been an absolutely fantastic little machine. I have owned for just over 12 months, when it came to me it had an extensive list of work done (see pictures) and since has only done approx 100 hours. It has just been fully serviced (22/8/25) including new belts & blades, oil & filters, brakes & wheel bearings adjusted etc. Only selling as workload requires a bigger machine. It is a very straight machine ready to go straight to work. Hours will increase slightly as it is still in use. Machine will be available from 8th September due to new machine being delivered. Any questions please PM or call/text. £4500.00 no vat (private sale)£4,500
