  2. Yesterday my dear wife received the following letter, from the local WalMart: Dear Mrs. Harris: Over the past six months, your husband has caused quite a commotion, in our store. We cannot tolerate this behavior and have been forced to, ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against your husband, Mr. Harris, are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance cameras: June 15: He took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in other people's carts when they weren't looking. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals. July 7: He made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women's restroom. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice, 'Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away'. This caused the employee to leave her assigned station and receive a reprimand from her Supervisor that in turn resulted with a union grievance, causing management to lose time and costing the company money. We don't have a Code 3. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&Ms on layaway. August 14: Moved a, 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area. August 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told the children shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department to which twenty children obliged. August 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying and screamed, 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?' EMTs were called. September 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose. September 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were. October 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while, loudly humming the, 'Mission Impossible' theme. October 6: In the auto department, he practiced his, 'Madonna Look' using different sizes of funnels. October 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, yelled 'PICK ME! PICK ME!' October 22: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed a fetal position and screamed; 'OH NO! IT'S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!' Took a box of condoms to the checkout clerk and asked where is the fitting room? And last, but not least: 16. October 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile; then yelled very loudly, 'Hey! There's no toilet paper in here.' One of the clerks passed out.
  3. Thanks folks. Yep, I found that 50 page booklet - I was hoping asking on here might be a shortcut to reading it cover to cover! (especially as it's a non-searchable pdf.) But direct advice from experience is usally better than FC advice imo as well. Or useful alongside. Glyphosate: i'm trying not to use it at all. I'm interested in views on whether Kerb (propyzamide) is any less, or more, evil than glyphosate???

  6. Bit much to take on a job though, you'll need a strong branch to hang a pulley on and someone to drop the weight from a convenient height. Otherwise problem solved👍

  12. Use your arbsurplus lengths for deadeyes, ring deadeyes etc. Before you know it, you'll have a good arsenal.
  13. Yes we do use google, however we work nationwide and have had some good connections through these kind of forums and other socials, resulting in creating great relationships with companies.
  14. Thanks for comment. Two or more suggestions for bearing - ok, better get over my laziness then …. Blow by past the piston maybe?
  15. I would pack some soil into the bandage lower down and reduce the height of the bandage over time - use you eyes to judge. If the roots are solid then you may get bark regeneration.Reduce the demand on the roots / bark for water by keeping the leaf down. I expect this will be an experiment rather than a success story but I think the chances are good. TBH it could be saved - but really the lesson has been learnt, don't strim / only strim with protection round the stem. Back up is let the plants either side fill the gap - they will, longer term grow some cuttings on and look to replace - realistically this is going to take more time. Personally I wouldn't try and replant -you will disturb the roots of the plants either side - a dig around the roots and see if this supposition is correct.

  18. Someone post the most uncut footage available please. I can't be arsed wading through the waffling journos and portagriefs. Though while someone finds that, I might remark that it looks (from the crap video I've just seen) that it's a fairly open area. Park a car on him and save everyone's hearing. Right. Let's see a video.

    Mistletoe

I am sorry if I am on the wrong site, but I have searched the internet without success for an answer. My question is, that I have lived here for 25 one of the previous owners with my neighbour used some bird poo with a berry into my apple tree. So the mistletoe could well be over 40 odd years old. I always tell people that comment on it that it is male and never has berries. UNTIL……..I noticed some last week. I suspect this is unusual and more to the point how could it have happened. ? I have a couple of bird houses in the tree and lots of tiny birds frequent it. ( In the past they were blue tits, but I think it is a different species at the moment )
  20. Its nice to be able to clip two carabiners on a ring if your working with two ropes, allows swapping between bridges easier and no real disadvantage that I've found.
  21. We had a similar issue on a 150 and was an inline capacitor in the loom, needed an auto electrician to find it.
  22. Thanks . Manual or remote control?
  23. As promised Sorry, no finall pics
  24. Not worth its own post, but spent yesterday making up half dozen of these for the local community woodland groups kids - scrap pallets, 3 left over bolts and a handful of screws. Folding saw horses so the kids keep their fingers protected from the saw blades a little.
