  2. It's pretty clear to me, social media is bad on balance. The world would be a better place without it. It drives social division and isolation, extremism, mis/dis-information, conspiracy theories; a whole host of negatives. AI could well be akin to SM on speed. Where do stand on children having smart phones?
  3. Wow; as a sawmiller it is so sad to see such amazing logs turned into chip. I realise that you may not find a suitable buyer exactly when you need one, but there is a niche market for such logs. Not only sawmills like mine, but also some chainsaw carvers like nice big lumps of sequoia. i recently bought a lorry load of sequoia not quite as big as some of the ones on this thread, but I was only buying the second and third lengths. I paid £100 per ton delivered if I remember rightly.
  4. Disc in chipper are heavy, and some tractors don't have soft start, old tractors were you dipped clutch pedal and in gauged lever and release slowly were easy.
  5. There were rumours that Trump had paid quite a lot of money to some very young men in his earlier years... only saw that story once so always thought it was not so credible till this week
  6. Hello everyone, I’m new to the industry and would like some advice on what people do with the waste created from jobs? I’m in the Manchester / Yorkshire area, would anybody know somewhere I can take green waste / wood / gardening waste etc?

  11. It will called the Green-wolf 150P I would buy it solely to have something to complain about as since buying an Evo165D my life has been too quiet and stress free...
  12. Put it all back together today and worked first time.. must of just got water in somewhere it shouldn't. At least I have a good excuse not to trim hedges in torrential rain now...
  13. Why does that grease have a seal pic on tin but now you say it does not contain rendered clubbed seals that's false advertising!
  14. Evening all. I am no electrician but for the love of me i cant seem to have the light cable for the chipper last more than a moth or so before coming apart internally and not working! The wires all end up ripping off from the connectors (where screwed in). This is on the truck end. The chipper end never comes off but that seems to be always loose and also creates a bad connection. added together its a real pain in the ass! Has anybody come up with a better solution? Anyone run the wireless ones? or any advice/ products that last? Many thanks
  15. It’s awesome wood, specially if you’re lucky enough to find dead standing timber
  16. ground worker available with knowledge of dismantles , site clearances and running jobs looking for extra days working Alongside others in Scottish Borders Also available arb tipper loader with grab
  17. Any efco saw listed for sale in the uk will be very old stock. Efco ceased to be a brand in the uk well over 5 years ago. The sister brand ...oleo-mac are the only current products sold within the uk now, and as most efco and oleo-mac products were near identical, the parent company in a cost saving exercise couldnt see any good reason offering an identical product, just in a different coloured plastic in the same market. Therefore....avoid any 'brand new' efco products that are still for sale in the uk market unless you want at least a 5 year old saw before youve even used it! All manufacturing dates are clearly marked on a white sticker next to the serial number, so if in doubt ask the seller the year of manufacture. Just worth noting.

2012 Mitsubishi Fuso Canter – NO MOT 137,604 Miles collection from London. Selling my Mitsubishi Fuso Canter as it has recently failed its MOT. Please check the photos for full details of the failure points. The truck also has an engine fault related to the EGR system. I’ve been quoted around £2,000 for the repair work, and with the ongoing ULEZ charges it’s no longer viable for me to keep it. It feels like a real shame to scrap it, as someone with better mechanical knowledge than me could turn this into a great project or a bargain work truck. Ideal for: Mechanics looking for a project Spares or repairs Anyone wanting a solid truck at a low price open to offers. thanks!!

We are selling our Multitel SMX250 Owned by us for the last 2 years and now we upgrading to a bigger machine. 2154 hours on the clock. Fully serviced and Loler. Excellent machine for tree work can get into very small spots and still give you an excellent reach height. Comes with a radio control remote which is an optional extra but well worth it as it gives you some much scope when getting the machine into jobs. Easy to load and unload. we do have a trailer we have been using to transport it and would consider selling it as a package if the price is right. Happy to do a demo or send videos of it working. Any questions or queries please don’t hesitate to contact us on [email protected] 01664812400 £41,500 + vat

  24. A Christmas treat usually! I'll have to try it with the sandwiches this week, depends if the ground is frozen over at lunchtime tomorrow maybe - I'll let you know what I think. Had to google that, yes brassica - also Wassabi which HR is often a cheap replacement
  25. I’ve found the best way to keep costs down is to buy unseasoned wood in bulk and stack it yourself to dry. Also worth checking local tree surgeons, often they’re happy to drop off loads much cheaper than firewood suppliers. Mini Militia App Lock
  26. Frankly, it shows how fragile the notion of "freedom of expression" in the United Kingdom has become. We may not agree with his words, but the idea that we can be arrested just for writing this is quite disturbing. Tutuapp
