  3. Well what a knob !! I misread/misunderstood the title, and thought this was about some obscure traditional method of making propellers (props!) out of timber. I kept thinking that's going to take some special grain choice, along the lines of spiral turkey oak or something similar. Only today realised it's about propping boats upright ..doh!
  4. The whole situation is a bit of a headache as when i started it last night it kicked over fairly easily and ran for about a minute, I revved her and it then bogged down, cut out. When raising this issue with seller he swears blind saw was running fine when it left him, supported by a video of it running / revving- though that could have been 6 months ago of course. Now that I've put only Aspen in it from the get go, all I can do is drain and revert to E10 and see if it improves. But having to drop start with revs once its warm(which I hadn't mentioned) isn't indicating so much a fuel issue to my mind, more compresssion No more used saws I think, even 100 per cent seller feedback doesn't guarantee anything
  5. You’re going to get better at being clear with clients. Stacking is different to piling and putting. Cutting to 50cm means just that, if it’s too big to move, too bad, they should have thought of that.
  6. Morning all, I share your frustration Stubby. There is a primary school just up the lane from me. I see some really bad parking and driving at school collection time. Getting into my drive with trailers on is a real challenge at 3:pm Conifer and laurel hedge side reduction today. Have fun
  7. Today
  8. Looked up the towing specs of a new one here, 3door, braked 1300kg, unbraked 350kg 😆 but a mate had a new one, loved it, another had the older one, scary to drive if nearing motorway speeds

  10. can't go wrong with most tbh, if it sounds good, holds oil, doesn't leak and digs! buy it. today I through a track for the first time in a few years I think, big boulders under leaf litter and fly tipping. luckily I now have a Dave, my right hand man who was a fitter for 15 years and operates everything, I ate lunch, he put the track on.
  11. Might be Biennial Cropping. Some varieties are more prone to it. One of ours does it, it's a bit annoying. Laxton’s Superb I think it is. Lovely big tasty apple, every two years!
  12. Lambs liver, mash, greens and gravy!
  13. A two part epoxy would be my choice as it has great fuel resistance and as its a bit thicker, theres no risk of it seeping anywhere. Before that I would lightly abrade the surface to help it stick.
  14. I lied about running great. Early on the recoil spring snapped, likely user error as I have had to adjust it before. Anyway after bending a new tang on the end and she was fine after that. I'll get a new one ordered along with spares for my 020t and 2511.
  15. Sweden, about 9k, project with papers to import
  16. Nothing like being happy in your life . 🙂
  17. Oh I completely agree, seens the police are useless , however in this day and age you will get someone stab u in the back by filming it... the stuff you could get away with you cant and because the police are biased - ie all this so called mental health shit, or they came from a bad home etc means that the police are geared up to protect the criminal, including the justice system and prisons...there the worst as the moj are so scared to be sued by a prisoner that they will bend over backwards for them. Nothing will change until u get rid of the human rights shite. Maybe then il happily get involved but unless my life's in danger , I couldnt be bothered .
  18. Any chance of getting mine on too? Name is Duncan Currie...

  20. Cheeky cnut, I've got all of 4 months yet.
  21. Oh Jesus.
  22. Nah, lime buds look like little boxing gloves.
  23. Lovely day here, saw a brimstone and a peacock butterfly on the dog walk.
  24. Anyway I have tried to explain to him that 40" diameter lumps of stem will not go through a 6" chipper. Yes they can be cut smaller to be liftable and movable, but thats not what a 6" chipper is for. Grass muddy slope up to driveway, muddy trail down into woodland/swamp.
  25. Sorry, missed the unidirectional part. No, I use standard pulleys, sometimes with multiple sheaves depending on the situation. I can’t honestly remember working with anyone using Unidirectional ones.
  26. Trip out into Oslo today. Needed to get some new snowboard boots so decided to get the ferry into the city and take the dog for a bit of a training trip. She was pretty good and chilled for the most part.
  27. Topping saws? Completed it mate.
