  2. It seems that one of the lads my have allegedly dropped the saw in a canal and didnt tell anyone about it! Just for reference if you ever do the same as above, you may not have to drain the fuel depending on how long its been underwater but my advise is to drain the tank, put fresh fuel in and get it up and running ASAP. Pull the spark plug and pull the starter while the saw is upside down to expel any water, dry the plug and get the saw running. If you leave it for more than even a day you will probably get bearings and piston rings rusting up.

  4. Another one to add to the list thanks will take a look at that too
  5. End of the week, just wondering if anyone got in touch? (don't need to know details). If not a handy bump for this thread.
  6. Might be the wrong thread, thinking of organising a golf trip, anyone up for it? thinking some sunshine and all that, Qatar anyone? Might not be the wrong thread after all (the news reports this week is Trump is planning a 5.5 billion investment golf course in Qatar, which half a chance will go bust like the others and the Qataris knowing this will pick it up for cheap. Wonder where this $400 million bung to take business there comes into it all). Of course after this jet has had $billion spent gutting it and rebuilding over the next 3 years... about the time the original Air Force One replacement will be delivered, it goes to Trumps 'Library' and becomes his to use as he wants. I also note that Trump has allowed AI chips to be sent outside of the US which is awfully lucky considering Saudi has just shown him the plans for the world largest AI training centre... so much for his rhetoric of US taking all the jobs and the fight he had with the tech giants over immigration, looks like he is shafting them bigly style; no immigration from this training centre to the US and the same centre will train the rest of the world leaving the US behind. US gets to sell $10 dollar chips though.
  7. Quite easily a 4ft butt. Had to letter box it with a 25.
  8. The NATO exercise is probably the reason Putins sabre rattling?
  9. Harsh, but right?
  10. Try whereas instead of where as pearls before swine
  11. There is a drain plug on the front of the tank. It takes a lot of oil mind, best make sure you're pan is big enough.

  13. Which is why it got retired.
  14. I am daring to wonder, could this another 1976 or 1995 shaping up? Fingers crossed.
  15. Mend up matey and take it easy for a bit .

    Bark chippings

Unlikely to get bark chippings donated off here? I'd say speak to a landscape supplier and see what they can do if it must be bark.
  17. The only times 120cc is worth it is where weight doesn't really matter and you need lots of power - milling or chunking up massive logs on the ground. I don't climb but I can't imagine that would be great.
  18. be careful you dont get the wrong trousers and get stitched up by a penguin pretending to be a chicken
  19. Yes, I can remember way back getting a Husky stuck at the end of the day and no other saw or axe to get it out. I tried to get the saw off the bar but couldn't quite get the chain loose enough to come over the clutch. Rather than leave it overnight I cut through the tiestrap with a felco wire cutter. @Donnie's tip of withdrawing the saw then using the nose to bore cut the kerf a bit wider repeatedly works too, as long as you do it carefully so that the bottom of the cut has closed on itself before the saw gets jammed. It can be useful if the cut has started wandering off to do this as boring is less affected by one set of cutters being biased to one side if the bar is worn.
  20. 4 season anyway, not sure I'll need to swap them out for winter tires every year. Probably just use the skidoo if conditions dictate.

  22. It has some woolly aphids but I don’t think they are not the cause, more a product of.
  23. Good prompt, thanks. I need to check mine carefully again.
  24. If the tree is producing huge amounts, then leave it alone. It is quite happy, and the bits of dead wood are potentially important habitat for rare beasties and fungi . My apple trees are the most unloved trees in Pembrokeshire with loads of broken branches, dead wood, and no pruning. All fruit prolifercally. Buggering around with a mature tree will just stimulate vigorous regrowth, and become counter productive.
