  2. Well you may as well try to carefully dig up one of the suckers and replant it next month then.
  3. You've got to try it to know. There are definitely easier ways to earn money, but also much more boring ones. On the plus side, compared to even 10 years ago there's a lot more mechanisation in the industry , and climbing techniques are kinder on the body. Maybe it varies where you are in the country, but always seems to be demand for reliable people round here.
  4. If sold cheap then maybe it'll garner some interest
  5. so if Christian values and principles are what made America such a strong economy, how do you explain the rise of the Chinese economy? China now have a greater share of the EV market than Tesla in europe In August 2025, China-based BYD captured a 1.1% market share in the European Union's new car registrations, while Tesla held 0.7%. My view is that it is not Christian values or principles that have built the US economy, but hardworking inventors and entrepreneurs Henry Ford Alexander Graham Bell Larry Page (google) Musk (SpaceX, Paypal , Tesla) Steve Jobs Jeff Bezos Samuel Morse (telgraph) Thomas Edison (phonograph, light bulb) while some may have been driven by faith (Christian principles and values), it's hard to know what percentage. At least some of them were athiests Steve Jobs had a lifelong spiritual journey marked by an adoption of Zen Buddhism following a trip to India, which heavily influenced his philosophy of simplicity and focus, though he remained interested in other beliefs and was known to express uncertainty about the afterlife. He was not deeply religious in a conventional sense but was a practitioner of Zen Buddhism and was interested in the spiritual teachings of figures like Neem Karoli Baba.
  6. Morning, overcast here and colder. Chores today with some pottering. Have a good day
  7. I think you mean out with the new, in with the even newer - seems like you've only had that truck five minutes.
  8. I'm not on commission from L&S but maybe should be. They are listing some Shindaiwa models, which probably means they have parts listing and can order in parts. I'd gather up what model and serial numbers you can see and give them a ring, presuming you want genuine parts.
  9. Charging for oil burnt is ridiculous- the engine shouldn’t burn any whatsoever let alone half a litre in four hours. The stop switch was probably around £50 from Timberwolf and ten minutes to fit. Id be disputing it.

  17. I have a tractor with a FEL but it's not a big potato area here so doubt 2nd hand crates are particularly common. I'm currently just storing them in hessian sacks but letting the sticks season before processing (and I know this is harder on the blades)
  18. British Mycological Society has recently been discussing various Phaeolus finds on Sorbus. Incidentally, Sorbus intermedia has recently been reclassified as Scandosorbus intermedia.

  24. I had one on trial about 1.5-2 years ago. At the time it was called the akimbo max. I got one to trial as I had go funded the original akimbo design and Jaime had one floating around Europe so it was sent to me. it didn’t operate well in damp Norwegian conditions. I gave my feedback and passed on to the next trial candidate. it will be interesting to see if it is better than the first version.
