  4. Well today was a bit of a test, went off Rd with truck and loaded with some 3.7 spruce and ceder saw logs, got down of my seat and truck had sunk a good bit,, thought oh shit we are unloading now ? A couple of wk ago I had a afternoon sorting the diff lock out that is air activated and probably not been used for 20yrs, so today just pushed button in, light on dash came on showing all 4 wheels locked together, engaged bottom gear and just drove out with no issues, made some big ruts though, pulled down on to hard standing and strapped up and back to yard, think I might be on power washer tomorrow,,
  5. Correct name is a heart cut, generally used on biggish trees where you felling cut is more than twice the bar length, ie if your using a saw with a 20" bar you should get able to fell a tree of 50"dianeter,

  17. I have already covered this, compliance with a statutory requirement (condemnation by the Council and an order to fell them) is an exemption. It is not necessary also to prove risk. But even if it had to be proven, the legislation merely says "prevention of danger". It could be said to mean immediate danger but it could also just mean 'danger'. It could mean slight danger or serious danger. It could mean danger to property or danger to people. Contrast that with the Scottish legislation which says "necessary for the prevention of immediate danger to persons or to property,". I expect that's what FC wishes it says in England.
  18. As described Id thoroughly recommend the balance XT. I've used it on all kinds of strimmers and long reach headgecutters and long reach chainsaws.
  19. Hi Steve, I'm trying to sign up for us to receive free logs or clean firewood, however, I've been stumped, pardon the pun, with the custom meta section? I'm probably being really stupid, but have not idea what this means.... any help would be appreciated, thanks 😊

  20. Mind, I reckon there will be some AI bot at it sometime...
  21. There should be a consultation, which will take several months, and if enough people reply the results will take longer to produce. (If it's like the other resent ones they'll ignore most of the replies). So it shouldn't affect renewals for a year or two. The negative news around it will affect the 2nd hand market on shotguns though as even more people give up. I've already got a cheap spare safe for cartridges so ready for the changes.
