  1. Hi Rob. I've just been doing a bit of research and it's lead me to you. Can you tell me if my bar or any 10" bar 1/4" pitch on my echo 2511 is compatible with the makita dup256cz? Thanks

    New Chipper

Very nice. I don't know why fold down chutes aren't an option. There's a lot of call for them
  3. Hi, does anyone know if there's a 10" bar 1/4" pitch compatible with echo 2511 and makita duc256cz? If they are compatible, which one do people recommend? Thanks

    Mower value

My thoughts. Or he's moving somewhere he doesn't need a mower. I'd take a gamble, say no thanks and hope he leaves it
  5. I think taking your chances on a pollard is your only option now. Looks like the ivy removal was a job in itself, and maybe all it needed. Did they offer any explanation as to what they did, and why? I don't think many could've walked away with it like that. Even if they were trying to do some sort of reduction, you'd think they would've stepped back and realised it hadn't worked
  6. Nice tree. Be a shame to do much to it. Copper beech though?
  7. I tried others and went back to mine. I find mine as comfortable as anything else I've tried. Expensive yes. But that probably tells you something. There's probably nothing on mine that are original. Bit like triggers brush. 'Best brush I've ever had, 5 new handles and 3 new heads'
  8. Stick with your Buckinghams
  9. Sorry to hear, but I suppose, if anyone stands a chance of recovering their stolen chipper, it's you!
  10. I've bead welded and 're ground rollers, not on a 530, but it was an old machine and it made a difference. Bit of a faff getting them out, but could be worth it, if you can do it yourself.
  11. Defo! I'm not a Miller, but I've seen the results of strawberry. Unfortunately, it was a couple of years after I had logged up the only one I've ever taken down.
  12. I can tell your conscientious and take pride in your work/reputation, in this case, I think the advise should be, don't admit responsibility. (I'd say its doubtful, anyway, that it's anything to do with you) I've also seen something similar caused by an angle grinder bein used to cut flags. Burrs of metal left on the patio. They don't show up straight away, until they have rusted. I would just sit tight. Not worry. If he pursues it, either ask him to prove it was you, or as somebody else suggested, if you have insurance, pass on to them. I can't see him pursuing it. I wouldn't have thought it would be worth his time.
  13. Was the patio even down when you priced the job? I wish people would get jobs done in the right order. It would make it easier for everyone. I priced a large pop at the bottom of someone's garden once. Ground surrounding it was an unkept border. Thought great. Chog onto that. Went back to do the job and they'd had a patio laid. No mention! ?
  14. What is he alleging has made the staining? Sap, chain oil? It looks more like rust marking. Do you think it was actually you that caused it? Ive seen the metal straps used to strap flags cause rust marks. But normally in a banding pattern. What is the pattern of the staining? Is it more prominent nearer where you were working? As for a remedy, if it's natural stone, it won't be easy, as whatever it is will have absorbed, and most detergents will stain/alter the stones natural colour
  15. Wouldn't it be nice, if when it failed, it landed on the summer house. Looking at the balance though, it would need a bit of persuasion
  16. When I read the title I thought your concern may have been chain oil staining a decent patio. Just something else to consider
  17. Hmmm. Who's told him they're worth £120 Probably the tree surgeon that didn't want to take them away
  18. Sorry, can't help, but I've stopped asking for advice on here
  19. I like it. Would someone else like to waste their money on this, and then tell me it's shit. ?
  20. I've always done maintenance/servicing on my chippers, but for some reason, I always used to put the van in. I do both now, if it's beyond my abilities I have a mechanic friend and we do it together. The turning point came when a garage put a new battery on, when all that it needed was connections cleaning. I know this because they reluctantly gave me the old battery, and i charged it and tested it. I suppose, from their point of view, what could they charge for cleaning a terminal. Thing is if they charged nothing, they might still have my business
  21. Hi. Looking at a 2005 transit tipper. Any common faults etc. that i should pay particular attention to? Thanks
  22. He needs to invoice you. Then it's up to him whether he pays the tax
  23. I'll just turn it upside down. Voila!
