  1. Often thought the same. My wife actually came home with something similar once. I had about 2000 sitting in the yard!
  2. Nice. What are the posts? How are they set?
  3. Are you related to Bruce Forsyth?
  4. My advice. Stay where you are. Bring the family out if you miss them! Sorry, can't help with what you are actually asking.
  5. Worn spring? Alternatively, get the step ladders out.
  6. Exactly hope that's it for this thread
  7. Several transit vans for 30 yrs. Sorry to bore you
  8. I know a person with a touring caravan that uses an old mobile phone with the GPS setting on. He just puts it under the seat. The problem is it needs charging once a week
  9. Rats
  10. You could be right. The car theives usually steal and park up, a few streets away and monitor for a day or 2, to see if there is tracker on the vehicle. If no one shows up, they take it to its destination
  11. Think you might've done enough to re ignite ir!
  12. I'll get a beer for this one
  13. Anyone can fell a tree (or attempt to) No one can fell a tree with an active nest. It's probably because anyone with certs had refused to do it
  14. It's a tricky one. Personally I don't do work unless all parties are in full agreement. Unfortunately for you, I'm sure your neighbour will be able to find someone. As for advice, sorry, can't really help. I would say some sort of compromise would be the best approach.
  15. To amuse the locals, seeing how many tourists obeyed it.
  16. Times like that a big shot would be handy
  17. I've done it 😂. Terrible talebacks on the A30, going to Cornwall. Fella darts off. I thought, he looks like he knows where he's going. Me and about 16 other vehicles followed him. He hadn't got a clue! Took us up a dead end track. Caravans having to back up and all sorts. Chaos! 😂
  18. That's the only consideration regarding when to do it 👍
  19. Move the log burner and let's have a proper look!
  20. I know. I'm never confident enough to give advice from pics, so I just think of something silly to say. Sorry!
  21. Obviously 😂
  22. I remember a story years ago, think it was on here. Guys priced a large conifer removal in London. 3 storey terraced, so they priced to take it all through the house. On the day, the house next door has a crane, loading roof tile or something. They dropped the operator a ton, and he got the lot out! Nearest I've come to anything like that was a road sweeper coming past just as we finished picking up the last bits 😁
  23. That's all you can do. Price accordingly. It's not overpricing. Most people understand. As for going through houses, I just don't qo there, it's a dead cert that something will get damaged or scratched
  24. This just sounds like most of my jobs
  25. Like Steve said, new chain. It might not be you, if the chain isn't accurately sharpened and the bar is only slightly mishaped I would think it would make quite a difference on a big piece
