    TW 190

If anyone hears of a TW 190 for breaking, I'm looking for an infeed tray and possibly the hopper. They're functioning, but the tray has more rust than metal. If anyone knows of one, could they post info on here? Thanks. I dread to think what the price of a new one would be.
  2. I don't sell many logs, just got 4-5 customers that I have supplied with a few bags for years, but are you sellers putting your prices up?
  3. My wife has been watching the rocky films recently. I think they've been 're running them. I said to her yesterday 'are you watching the fight tonight?' She said 'What fight?'. I said 'sorry, I thought you were into boxing'. She said 'why would you say that?' I said 'no reason, cup of tea?'
  4. I bought a car battery off eBay. It came delivered by Hermes. It was the wrong size. I tried sending it back with Hermes. They said they don't carry batteries 😂. Found another courier, they took it. About 3 weeks later, it landed on my doorstep, with a note, 'cannot deliver'. Not much help to you, only that it could be a headache.
  5. I think you would struggle to fill 5 days a week like that. I suppose it depends how busy you want to be. Be careful if you get home owners asking you to chip stuff they have taken down. It's always poorly stacked and full of roots, soil, string and all sorts. On the very few occasions I've done it, it's been problematic and I've concluded it wouldve been easier doing the work from scratch
  6. Hi. I'm setting up a lathe in my workshop. Not got very much experience turning. Can anyone offer any advice as to what height the bench/lathe should be. If it's relative to my height, I'm 5'9" on a good day, Thanks
  7. Thanks
  8. Hi Put a small amount of pampas through the chipper last week. I know they don't like it, so I mixed it with other stuff and it wasn't a large quantity. Anyway, a bit of it wrapped itself around the shaft. I actually had smoke coming out of the chute. Knocked it off. Cleaned it all off the shaft. Took a bit of doing, the flywheel was jammed at first. Anyway, I seem to have got away with it. But was thinking of changing the bearings anyway, if I get a quiet period, before Xmas. How hard is it to do? Any special tools needed. I take it, it's a 2 man job. I've got a bearing press anything else not in your average Joe's tool box I might need? Thanks
  9. Dave, You say you're not bothered about legal matters, but just out of interest, what are the laws in New Zealand? Your neighbour has obviously entered your property to do that extent of work, I should say damage.
  10. Different lengths of gaffs
  11. If you're lucky. They lost mine.
  12. Yeah. It wasn't 2000. I made a few for the school fair once. But once you're set up, you could rattle a few off quite quickly
  13. Often thought the same. My wife actually came home with something similar once. I had about 2000 sitting in the yard!
  14. Nice. What are the posts? How are they set?
  15. Are you related to Bruce Forsyth?
  16. My advice. Stay where you are. Bring the family out if you miss them! Sorry, can't help with what you are actually asking.
  17. Worn spring? Alternatively, get the step ladders out.
  18. Exactly hope that's it for this thread
  19. Several transit vans for 30 yrs. Sorry to bore you
  20. I know a person with a touring caravan that uses an old mobile phone with the GPS setting on. He just puts it under the seat. The problem is it needs charging once a week
  21. Rats
  22. You could be right. The car theives usually steal and park up, a few streets away and monitor for a day or 2, to see if there is tracker on the vehicle. If no one shows up, they take it to its destination
  23. Think you might've done enough to re ignite ir!
  24. I'll get a beer for this one
  25. Anyone can fell a tree (or attempt to) No one can fell a tree with an active nest. It's probably because anyone with certs had refused to do it
