General arb work? Could be a bit more specific.

    Ex-Fleet vans

Most go through the auctions initially. Nearly all car auctions have a commercial auction monthly
  3. You're not restricting a fuel line when putting the air filter covers back on?
  4. You must have the same technique as me. Knuckle, index finger?
  5. Everyone knows someone that's had a close call/near miss with a chainsaw, surely? So just tick 100% for that box
  6. You might be right. I've got some, somewhere. Can't find it 1050 is in my head, but I can't remember if it was Celsius
  7. Yeah. Seems fair. We do lots of little £200 take downs, that don't take much more than an hour. When it comes to emergency work. The cost of the actual tree work pales into insignificance compared to damage repairs, road closures effect on the economy
  8. The little rats put their own chains on your bike now. So you come back to your bike and can't take it. Then when things are quiet, they come back and do the business
  9. Buying in bulk might not be simple for everyone. The extra storage space, security issues etc
  10. Ringing the log to size, maintenance of chainsaw?
  11. I agree. Go for it, then. Still parts available. Just keep a check on how much it's costing you. I'd even say, use pattern parts for some bits. If it's a wrongun, I might be interested. I've got one sat there with a crack in the casing around the oil tank. Otherwise, a good saw
  12. Ms 200 t was a great saw. They stopped making them quite a few years ago now. I think you'll be lucky to find one in good condition. A lot of arborists (myself included) kept hold of them and ran them into the ground. I loved mine. You're probably being offered something like this. They are not a home owners saw, and will have been used and used....
  13. Too good. I'll have it in my dining room, when you've finished with it😂
  14. Bought a mitsubishi pajero from a dealer, over 25 yrs ago. Great car. It was 15 yrs old when I got it. I kept it for 10 yrs. Not a single problem with it. Everything worked on it when I sold it. Only sold it cos it was thirsty. I don't even remember the insurance being particularly bad.
  15. Expensive (Haven't got one)

    TW 190

If anyone hears of a TW 190 for breaking, I'm looking for an infeed tray and possibly the hopper. They're functioning, but the tray has more rust than metal. If anyone knows of one, could they post info on here? Thanks. I dread to think what the price of a new one would be.
  17. I don't sell many logs, just got 4-5 customers that I have supplied with a few bags for years, but are you sellers putting your prices up?
  18. My wife has been watching the rocky films recently. I think they've been 're running them. I said to her yesterday 'are you watching the fight tonight?' She said 'What fight?'. I said 'sorry, I thought you were into boxing'. She said 'why would you say that?' I said 'no reason, cup of tea?'
  19. I bought a car battery off eBay. It came delivered by Hermes. It was the wrong size. I tried sending it back with Hermes. They said they don't carry batteries 😂. Found another courier, they took it. About 3 weeks later, it landed on my doorstep, with a note, 'cannot deliver'. Not much help to you, only that it could be a headache.
  20. I think you would struggle to fill 5 days a week like that. I suppose it depends how busy you want to be. Be careful if you get home owners asking you to chip stuff they have taken down. It's always poorly stacked and full of roots, soil, string and all sorts. On the very few occasions I've done it, it's been problematic and I've concluded it wouldve been easier doing the work from scratch
  21. Hi. I'm setting up a lathe in my workshop. Not got very much experience turning. Can anyone offer any advice as to what height the bench/lathe should be. If it's relative to my height, I'm 5'9" on a good day, Thanks
