  1. The pitch maybe the same (it is 😉) but std 3/8 is just bigger all round than the lopro 3/8 also the gauge of the drive links is thicker on a std 3/8 it is 1.6mm where as the lopro is 1.3mm so taking that into acount you may think you could run a lopro chain 1.3 mm dl in a std 3/8 sprocket. But not the other way round due to the dl gauge. well you could but it would result in breaking tie straps, due to the drive links being sloppy in the drive sprocket. And I don’t mean the 1.3 to 1.6mm difference. The std 3/8 sprocket slots are bigger for the bigger dl just think of it as wearing ya dads pants, and having to do a cross country run and then those sacks of yours slopping around in those big pants 😂 who was it on here a yr ago or more milling with the 660 and a std 3/8 sprocket and a lopro chain and had all the chain breaks. took some time to figure it all out though.
  2. Well at least there not stumped at the site of it all 😜
  3. 🙄
  4. Talk to someone about a ported saw, then tell me about saws cos a 461, it ant like any 261..... 🧐 swinging a 500i would be a lot easier in a tree than a 661 but a lot of peeps say the 462 has it all then there’s the 880\881 but maybe you want all the toys Also I’d look at sharping a chain a bit differently it’s just how I see it..😉 ymmv 👍
  5. My 036 loves the 20” bar, but I’ve played with it abit 😉 it rips. the point I’d like to make thou, learn how to file a chain, you will get more satisfaction from a sharp chain what ever the bar length. 👍
  6. I would say ask any 2 stroke air cooled keen motorcycle person, what do you do after a long ride and racing up a few roads ? When yo come to a stop do you leave you engine running to lub and cool off or just switch it off ? I bet your get a few different answers, but the real thing is with chainsaws you have a flywheel pushing air over the cooling fins to help cool while it’s running. IMO the last thing you want is a very hot engine switched off and then bake the lub off as it gets hotter and the fan is not sending cool air over the engine any more but as with most things everyone is different and we learn the hard way some of the time. 😉 my way with milling is to run the chain a bit after a cut by bliping the throttle abit here and there until I see lub on the chain links. Then let it tick over for a min or two to take away the heat a bit. you could argue the day temperatures etc. But when you’ve been milling on a hot day you just know instantly to let it run a bit longer.
  7. I think our Reg 😉. Made this for you in mind 👍👍👍
  8. Oxalic acid, -> rhubarb leaves... it’s also the feeling you get afterwards of eating rhubarb crumble. The acid on your teeth. used in lots of things ie bar keepers friend and other bleachy cleaning products. I use it to help kill the Varroa mites on my bees.😉 at a very precise low concentration.
  9. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. Moon cup 🙈
  10. And this 👍 The Incarcerated Women Who Fight California’s Wildfires - The New York Times WWW.NYTIMES.COM By choice, for less than $2 an hour, the female inmate firefighters of California work their bodies to the... A long sad story.....
  11. 21 Things I Learned As a Woman Wildland Firefighter — Katie Wimpari WWW.KATIEWIMPARI.COM The list compiled does not even begin to cover all the skills and tricks I familiarized myself with during the... 🥰 And only for what she does.. I like my women a bit differently in the home & bed 😉
  12. A fire land fighter.🥰 I watch a half good American program about women in jail (usually alcohol or drug reasons, a few had lots tattoos) and then trying becoming fire land fighters.
  13. I will repeat what someone else said. There are many different designs of saws, thay all do the same job. “Cutting wood” if you take a pic it would help a lot, it could just be that you have assembled it wrong or the worm drive is slipping and not turning the pump. Btw...It’s easy to upload pics, it also answers a thousand questions 😉 It’s hard to see oil on the chain sometimes and if it’s cold it’s also harder for the pump to pump it. 10% of Diesel or kerosene is what I use to thin oil. the real way to know if it’s working a little or not at all is to run it with out a bar and chain, gently, a bit more than tickover to half throttle. You will see the oil coming out if it is. then fit the bar and chain and there are a few ways to see if it’s getting flung off the chain. Some times the oil hole can restrict it. if it is oiling the way to gauge how much is by how much it uses to a tank of fuel. btw. If Its leaking oil. Pics help as some saws have well known faults. And usually there are IPL (illustrated parts list, or Exploded diagrams) for each saw which help repairing and not leaving something out.
  14. I started to watch that vid, and as soon as he said these logs will sit and rot at the side. And light will come in wher it used to be dark.. I thought this guy don’t know much 🤔.
  15. Just You make sure you do a vid so we can see you in all your glory I looked at the first pics and thought just about get a humbolt in the lower front part , make sure there’s no Dutchmen and as soon as you can get wedges in the back cut start banging them in. You may need to double them up. And as others say if you have a tag line halfway up or a little more you have a backup if the wedges don’t work.. if you need some extra pulling force you could rig a simple 2 to 1 . Or just use a truck. Remember the wedges will stop it sitting back. look fwd to the vid 😉
  16. On paper it sounds good, but in the real world and the only tree 🤔 bring in the MEWP
  17. I was gonna say if you don’t like the leg markings or what ever, then just ask in an email to August on the web page etc.. he seems like he would be happy to help, although it may take a little longer as it would not be off the shelf..
  18. Pictures answer a thousand questions.. I think, but could be wrong.. it was over tightened and chain cover not tightened and the chain shrunk when cooled then broke the thing.. ive seen bent crankshafts and bent bars from having the chain to tight. So that’s why I think operator error. I could be wrong but all that pin is ment to do is tension the chain then the clutch cover takes over when the nuts are tightened and holds the bar and chain.
  19. My question is, did you over tighten the chain. Do you have any pic's of the parts that broke. ?
  20. Like I said before , go in buy your 30lts at the same time get your co worker to take his approved receptacles to another pump and fill. or go around the block after you’ve brought 30lts and buy it again.it says nothing about time limits and for all they know you dropped them off at a job around the corner, and your getting fuel for another job. just don’t go back to the same pump ?
  21. Just A little teaser of the wood porn to come ? ??
  22. @Rough Hewn maybe he could help ?
  23. ?
  24. What sort of amount and lengths and diameter are you looking to get rid of. I'm in Brighton and may be able to help
  25. I’ve been busy with Rough today ...... milling with him,,,, all I’m gonna say is he’s got some nice pic's to show,,, I’ve a few pics but I,m gonna leave Saul to post them all. ???? probably tomorrow as he's got a long drive home, I only had 70 ?
