I was going to reply earlier. But.... I’ve seen the replies now 🤔 🤣🤣🤣 ive know many fellers that love to mince (strutting there stuff, in high heals, or any other boots, biker or chainsaw they don’t care) and they will admit it., after all you know I live in Brighton 😉 btw if the guy is straight, and going into coop or what ever...he could just be on the pull for a young lady, who wants some tough guy that swings in trees 🙈😂😂😂
  3. I love reg's vid's as he only loads up good new content, unlike some of the others that upload every few days 🤔 Reg's intro's to his vids can be priceless 🤣 especially when he tells the trolls go away.. carryon as you are Reg. 👍👍👍
  4. I hope you got the oiler turned up full. I can’t see a 261 not oiling an 18” unless you got a problem somewhere, that yo7 don’t know about
  5. I'd cut an split all the ash into the firewood size that you use, it’s easy when green, it just pops as it splits. It’s no fun splitting any seasoned wood and ash is hard as oak IMO when dry. I know longer logs will take longer to season, it just extends the time for you to easily split it. as said before, cover it to keep it dry.
  6. Just because you say there’s little smoke, that don’t mean little pollution. I know there’s a tyre problem but to the average person it’s defo not green to burn them in your back yard. i,m not picking on anyone, but the best thing is just forget the idea of burning them. Because the easy way of burning can be end up like this pic or the more professional way where you have scrubbers and afterburners to help with the unburnt and the other pollutants https://www.heraldscotland.com/news/12628201.tyre-burning-power-plant-generates-row/
  7. I think you will find yourself in trouble soon by burning tyres. On a regular basis. it’s one of the reason we as a country do not export old tyres to certain places in the world, because they burn them to heat kilns and that pollution is absolutely unreal when you see pictures
  8. As @htb says. Most e clips are in places where you can put something over the top before they go into orbit, even if it’s a digit of yours now if you were asking about piston c clips, that is long explanation 🤔🤫
  9. It’s hard to see the hinge in your pic but it looks like a back cut with a tapered hinge ?
  10. And one other, item that nobody has mentioned, where in London is the job. what about that thing they call LEZ.. will that be an issue, it maybe for some,,
  11. I was gonna reply to this topic of making 1 out of 2 chains.. some people are still in the throw it away or sell it on sort of mind where you just end up losing money, to the people in between (eBay & PayPal) Yes you can earn more money. , but I used to do the a Simular thing ( drink to much beer and not go to work the next day). one of the first few things I brought was an NG7 second hand off eBay. It’s defo saved me money on fixing loops. but everyone has a different view. And I respect this 👍
  12. Hey @johnsond,,, We got ourselves a convoy!!! 👍👍🤣🤣🤣
  13. Yes you can swap the cover from the old to the new, I’ve done it for another stihl saw, I think it was a 026/260 iirc. Ie I brought one with out the snorkel (non compensating) and put the snorkel on from the old carb edit I think you will find they used the same carb on some of the old 024's & 026's

Sweet.. flooding is common problem, And you have to know how warm the saw is to know the best way to start it. ive a 026. when It’s warm and I still have to give it choke, it berps then hot start. my mate flooded it, but I didn’t know it. I went throu my start process. It didn’t burp. Or start on hot start. Or normal . I then did what Dan said .. pull over with throttle wide open, it then bumbled. So I tried again, same then it bumbled and slowly bumbled into life. that’s why I said is it flooded.. but had to ask the fuel and oil as well...

Silly questions, the fuel you used, did it have 2stroke oil added ? are you sure you didn’t flood it. I 2strokes can be a pain if your not used to starting them, most have little unique characteristics, also you got an mtronic, which I,m not used to, so I can’t really help anymore. but hopefully while your reading the manual, someone else will come along and help 😉 @spudulike
  16. Yes it did, @75mph on some of the way 🤫 and thanks for helping me load it .👍 sean..
  17. Ahh, those woke peeps will say you can’t use that word..😂. and for the woke record, our local nhs say we give babies human milk and chest feed them . so I had chest of chicken tonight 🤣 and the list will get longer and longer. Btw I don’t take offence to someone quoting history. 😉👍 or some just saying. But everyone draws a different line somewhere. That’s why I avoid polaticks and the rona debate. ps we had a good chat in al's yard 👍😉 after I pickup up that 881
  18. Tim, have you ever flown a Para glider ?
  19. I think I can see a helmet in that shadow on the 2nd pic, not sure what type thou 🤫
  20. I'd would go with sweet chestnut , but you don’t say If it gives any nuts
  21. I think that serial number is wrong, there’s a few reasons. not enough digits, not starting with a 1,2 or 3 and if you look closer at the ipl I linked to, it’s the same as the file on the page spud linked to. where stihl make revisions on models they state the serial number from.... look at that info in the pdf and put two and two together it don’t make four. I bet if you split the crankcase all will be revealed 😉 as I’m sure your unaware there is a serial stamped on the case between the gasket 🤫
