  1. He says the play is on the clutch side so presume it’s the crank bearing behind the clutch. With a new 500i at £1300 plus it’s got to be worth fixing.
  2. This could be start of a quiz🤔
  3. Those Peltor ones are approx twice the price of Pfanner protos units and look the size of half a brick😳
  4. Ran transit tippers 20 years ago and they served me well. Then went Land Rover and trailers as client base changed. They’re definitely not as reliable as transits though😳. 10s of thousands of builders can’t be wrong and why do you think ikies run them - they want something that’s 100% reliable as a stealth truck and a get away vehicle 🤔.
  5. I admire your ballsy way of working. By 3 phase I presume you mean 11 or 33kv lines? Your local network must know you really well to give you the go ahead to clear trees that are “growing up through the power lines”. Expect them to come back to you to take on a lot more because you’ll save them a fortune from having to do shutdowns?
  6. What year is it? If it’s a later one shouldn’t the end of the Spline Drive Bottom Roller you’ve pictured there finish flush with the outside of the roller box? This then allows the motor splined shaft go all the way into the drive roller? With a small section green plastic spline bush sat between the roller box and spline drive? Has it been rebuilt recently? Are the top and bottom roller mixed up on reassembly at some time because it doesn’t look right which I’m sure you’ve realised.
  7. At least being where you are- you can jump in the truck with a trailer on and collect a platform from all these countries without getting stung for tax on top and high delivery costs like the UK😳
  8. That’s all a load of bull! Reports last week that they were clearing ecologically important forests to feed the Thanet and Drax hunger for Canadian wood🤔. Only a matter of time before the supply chain from there is turned off and the government and general public wakes up and realises that’s the whole project is only viable(to investors) because it’s financed by public money - our money! The government as finally realised that gas power stations are a must because they can be turned on and off to meet electricity demand surges unlike wind and solar.
  9. That’s all well and good Mick? The problem comes when you do a search for a “common sense” video on YouTube 🤔
  10. Made more fuss about this tree locally and nationally than the 15 year old lass that was stabbed to death just up the road in Hexham earlier in the year😫. So it’s appeared in a few nice photos over the years but only important to those who’ve appeared in, or have taken the phot. The trees only really reached notoriety since it was cut down. If it hadn’t most of us wouldn’t of known it existed. It’s changed the landscape in an area 200 mts square. There’s woodland being taken out all across the country that often changes the landscape from 10miles away? Do we shed a tear - no! The cost of cleaning it up must of run into thousands, they could of given it to a local for firewood on the proviso they cleaned it up and didn’t knock anymore stone out of the Italian blokes wall🤔
  11. Unfortunately, the litmus test for the requirement of refreshers is an incident/ accident and then the HSE and insurance company’s will make their thoughts known on whether it was required or not. It’s all part of the trials and tribulations of trying to operate with hands tied behind our backs?
  12. With out knowledge of joists spacings, span etc it’s difficult to make any specific recommendation? 6 x 2 joists(you say rafters?) arn’t that strong. The combined weight of the stove, slate hearth, plinth construction and firewood could be enough to flex the joists and tension any joints in the flue causing leaks. I would look at some steelwork underneath the plinth construction and in your case get some advice off a structural engineer, HETAS installer.
  13. Keep up Andy🙄
  14. Would of thought you could buy a decent old Major, International etc for £2000 and it gives you flexibility.
  15. Don’t panic, the governments done another U turn. It’s going to stay as a commercial vehicle🙄
  16. Stubby’s finally been thrown in the tower😳
  17. That’s his wife😳. That’s why the sex isn’t the same anymore.
  18. That’s so sad. I thought I’d heard in the last week Steve Wright was to be given a new show on the BBC playing 60/70/80s classics?
  19. As an occasional visitor back to the UK Mick you must of noticed a lot about this country is changing for the worst. The country’s going down the pan - fast😫
  20. Just curious as to why you’ve chosen to put your sling so high up when the tree your using as an anchor would be stronger if it was around the base and the winch would be easier to operate if closer to the ground🤔
  21. Is that Walesuan in northern China🤔. The product, video and commentary is a bit Scandinavian? If it was a Welsh video they would say things like - butty, look you, tidy, who’s coat is this jacket etc. Of course they could be using artificial intelligence! I’ve been wondering what to do with all my loler failed ropes and log ends 🤔
  22. If all dog owners were to pick up their dog shit there wouldn’t be a problem then? If when house training puppies and they crap and/ or pee in the house some people rub the pups noses in it? If that was done to the owners who don’t pick the mess up maybe it would help train the owners🤔
  23. You need to eat your Snicker🤔
  24. There are already people within these shores that have taken up arms against us🤔
  25. 264 MPs served in WW1 in some form or other(40%), 24 were killed. Queen Victorias grandson was killed. The landed gentry also did their bit with some family’s loosing all their heirs and so the end of the blood line. Most served as officers and led from the front armed with a bloody pistol. All sections of society did the bit.
