  1. I did not know this would blow up. I will get some photos tomorrow after work! This is the link to where I learned about taking down leaning trees. L@@K at 1:14.
  2. The wind blew over a big old pine tree I had. If I could stand it back up I would because it isn't dead. Anyway, it is leaning on a tree I want to keep. I was doing some research on how to take this tree down and it was saying to cut a notch in the top and then cut a line from underneath. Does that match your experience? It is about 15" diameter, if I were to guess. Eventually I'll burn it in my log burner

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
