  1. I take it this would be issued by my local council?
  2. I will be purchasing myself a new harness soon, any recommendations in the Liverpool area of a shop I can go and try a few for size? Sorry for stealing your thread bud.
  3. Would I ever be asked for it at a green waste site? Iv been lucky we have a huge fire once a month where I work and my boss doesn't mind us bringing stuff in off our work on the side..

  6. What is the waste carriers licence.. Obviously the name speaks for itself but is it over a certain weight? Or carrying a certain cargo ect?
  7. Tragic..
  8. We had a guy come with a tracked stump grinder he charged us £700 for the day but done around 30 stumps in that time.. Pretty good value IMO
  9. I'd sooner keep it legit. Iv done cash in hand weekend work for 10-12 years now. Now that I'm looking to set up a business I'd sooner start as I mean to go on...
  10. Hi, I am qualified cs 30, 31, 38,39, 46 currently working full time (37 hrs p/weeks) for the MOD doing all around maintenance so tree work is only occasional but this is what I want to do full time eventually (3-4 yrs time). I intend on setting up my own business but was just after a little advice. 1. If I set up a small business now whilst working full time. Doing tree work on weekends. Would this affect my work tax code or would I be on a higher tax bracket on the business? 2. What other quals would you recommend I gain before eventually setting up on my own? Many thanks in advance..
  11. That's a bid ol' log!
  12. Most older petrol engines use port fuel injection wich is less precise since it just sprays fuel into the intake port, which then mixes with the air in the port and rushes into the combustion chamber when the intake valve opens. Whereas the direct injection is injected straight into the combustion chamber at precisely the right time and therefore creating a much more efficient bang in the combustion chamber. Creating more power. Basically it's better....
  13. Chelmsford... Sham it wasn't closer. Looks like it would be easy to have re-laid too.
  14. As a serving Reservist I will be donning the FAD (No 2 dress for the older folk) and parading myself in Liverpool town centre. Then Back to Barracks for a few beers. Enjoy your parades everyone.
  15. About 5 yrs ago I got rid of mine. I use one occasionally under a sudo name. As I am on the committee for the ABF the soldiers charity and we have pages for up coming events. Don't want it in my name can't be bothered with the hassle...
  16. I have always been a little squeamish when dispatching a bird, I will do it if needs be but just not too fond of it. I went out beating on a shoot a few years back and I'll never forget watching a 6 yr old boy pick up a pheasant that had been shot but not killed. He picked it up with one hand and dispatched it like a pro with a flick of the wrist, walked over and gave it to his dad..
  17. What area are you looking to do a course in? I'm ex regular currently still in the reserves. I never done Re settlement just done the courses.
  18. This thread has reminded me that of one of the benefits I get from working for the MOD... 35 days annual leave 18 days special leave (members of the Army reserve) 6 months full pay if sick. But they are strict with it. Once it's gone it has gone.. We have to give 3 up for Xmas but we do get a 3 week break for it so no gripes there
  19. My apologies I should have looked at the model you quoted first before I jumped the gun.. We also have husqvarna Hu725 they are 4 wheel drive. Pull through anything but wet grass clogs them up on a large lawn. And a Honda 21 fairly old model but this is my go too. Nothing fancy it has drive function. But what I like most is it picks up very well but also has a flap on the back which leaves nice stripes in the lawn once finished.
  20. Iv given up arguing with most people about most subjects I have come to realise now everyone has diverse opinions.. I don't like being told my opinion is wrong so I won't tell another person thier opinion is wrong. But If we didn't disagree on things what a boring world this would be!
  21. Is it a ride on mower you are after? We have 2 husqvarna ride on mowers ( see pic ) and in my opinion the Maneuverability of the front wheel staring ones are terrible We also have one made by a Company called 'Bad boy' although it takes a little getting used to the controls once mastered it slashes the time spent mowing in half. It can turn 360° within its own body length so getting up close to obstacles is easy. The only downside is the model we have doesn't collect the cuttings, im sure they must make one that does.
  22. Stunning!
  23. For the black sheep of the family...
  24. Can you both not see how stubborn you look now? Going around in circles with the same argument neither of you will change the opinion of the other. Just agree to disagree and move on. It is a Arb forum after all... 🤔
  25. [emoji15] spelling never was my thing [emoji16]
