  1. My Grandparents neighbour had about 8 lelandii that Reached 30m or so and guess what? Fell over. Because all of his neighbours are in council houses they all got their gardens fixed. My grandad who is pigeon fancier and breeds love birds budgies ect had terrible damage to both of his aviaries and his patio Sefton council couldn't do anything to help him....
  2. Not getting any vid/ images on the app within this thread?
  3. Here is a picture of a small mixture of all 3 species.
  4. Thanks I'll have a look at the link now. Yes they are between 6 and 12 inches. I will take a photo of a couple and post them.
  5. Quick one for the experts.. In work I am unofficially in charge of most things forestry by unofficialy I mean out of the 12 of us that manage the 360 acre site I'm the one with the most knowledge and quals and that isnt a lot. We have been given 150 trees to plant by the boss. We have : 50 oak 50 hornbeam 50 wild cherry Sorry I don't know the sub species. Basically I want to try and find out. 1. Do I need to add anything to the soil we are a costal / sandune site with very sandy soil. 2. Spacings. obviously in 50 years or so when these trees begin to reach maturity they will require a lot of space. 3. They are not being planted until January. They are around 6" in length with small root balls wrapped in black cellophane. What is the best way to store them? Most of our woodland is pines, larch, fur trees and a small orchard. Thanks in advance
  6. Dropped 2 small trees 1 pine and 1 white poplar then into the log shed for the rest of the day...
  7. I prefer a long walk on the beach....
  8. Where I work we have a few lad qualified on spraying weedkiller's me being one of them just a 2 day course nothing extravagant. We use an industrial roundup just spraying the usual places roadsides, stoned/ gravelled areas, around obstacles that would normally require strimming ect. Last year I had to walk the whole site (360 acre) and report on any of these 3 invasive species of plants within the site : Japanese knotweed Himalayan balsam Rosa rugosa I done so and we had quite a lot of each species. My employer (MOD) then payed a national contractor who come from the Midlands I believe to come for the next 5 years and spray these areas with of all things the exact same industrial roundup as we use... It done the trick as now after 2 and a bit years most areas are now clear. The only difference is on one of the plantations of knotweed they injected it straight into the stem of the plant.
  9. Nevermind your English being better than my Norwegian it's probably better than my English [emoji23]
  10. This particular cluster has a lot of barn owl activity. I wonder if they may nest in one of the crevasse some of them are quite large.
  11. Willow that I felled, they wanted it leaving as it is in image so it looks like a shrub. Personally I would have had the stump grinder out to get rid properly. This is a cluster of Sycamore that all have pockets of decay some are rotted through from wounds probably from poor cuts in the past or ripped out limbs Your thoughts and advice would be much appreciated!
  12. I had a fella walk into the back garden of one of my customers carrying his own chainsaw. Confused the hell out of me. Firstly he offered to help and be payed in logs. Secondly his saw had a fault and asked me if I could service it on the job... I thought he knew the customer and the customer thought he knew me really confusing situation. The logs were being dumped anyway (4 small cherry) so to saved me the work I left them on the drive and he collected that night and left his phone number with the customer so I could call him to my next job... 🤔
  13. I'm stuck on 2 albums at the moment The Beatles Abbey Road and Nivarna Nevermind. Have them both on repeat
  14. I don't understand how someone can see a vulnerable person and think I'm going to take advantage of this person. It just doesn't make sense to me. They need a taste of Dominic Littlewood he isn't a push over like Mat Albright [emoji23]
  15. Their scum! Anyone who can rip off the elderly or anyone in fact. There is just no need for it. The lowest of the low in my opinion is the guy who runs upstairs to pilfer her stuff. If I found anyone doing that in my house they wouldn't walk out.
  16. I work with a lad who trades in this stuff, he tries to explain it but it all sounds like witchcraft to me. I'm sure there is money to be made but for the likes of me who Isn't tech savy in the slightest im too wary to try.
  17. I'm sure this video cannot have gone unnoticed on here but I thought it was worth posting.
  18. My nan suffers from vertigo and she can't walk in my kids bedroom without feeling like she will fall over because of the pattern of the carpet. Nothing to do with heights I think it's the brains depth perception. Or poor balance caused by something in the inner ear.
  19. Yep it was fine untill my area got sky fiber, they started bombarding us to switch over for an extra £16 p/m Then as if by magic my download speed diminished. I'll be looking into virgin once I am out of contract.
  20. Nice video dude lovely scenery. Iv recently spoken to a good friend of mine who owns a production company filming.... Let's call them adult movies, he also owns a pro video drone and has offered to make me a vid for free I cant wait.
  21. Never had any speed problems other than when I'm on WiFi at home but that's is down to sky for giving me a poor 1.2meg download speed.

    Logo's

Basically I am starting to set up my own business at the same time keep spending to a minimum. I have begun to design flyers and business cards. But I cannot decide on a logo. I was just wondering how the business owners on here decided on theirs. I like the idea of something like this but it looks too much like clipart
