  1. Adjustable hydraulic flow valve.
  2. Another vote for the berthoud, the harness supports the weight well and the telescopic lance helps for extra reach also the adjustable pressure regulator is another handy addition.
  3. The fuel rack remains in the open position until the engine starts then the governor should move it towards the closed position to control the revs. Hope this helps explain rack movement Simon.
  4. Hi Chris thought you would have had enough of populars after the food factory job.
  5. We’re running it in one of our latest projects, 160 pounds for 25 litres and for oil supposedly being environmentally friendly it has been causing a few cases of dermatitis when in contact with skin, good idea but would not use it again.
  6. They call it managed retreat in my part of the world.
  7. Good company P&R, Justin sorted the hydraulics out on my chipper a while back, finding them a bit expensive lately.
  8. I use my local agricultural engineering company near Dereham, the last hose I had made for the loader cost 18 pounds all in and done while I waited.
  9. Plan is at the moment is to attach a pulley block to the dipper arm of our 13 ton 360 and then use the hydraulic winch of the chipper to dismantle the crown and winch it across the river as we have limited access to the far bank, then strop the trunk cut it off and let the water flow bring it to the bank. If we get this far without disaster we should be able to track it up stream to a meadow with a more stable bank where we can cut it up and get it out. If we let anything float down stream it will lodge on a weir with not a lot of access.
  10. This is my wind blow.
  11. Planning a new district heat system.
  12. If I remember correctly import duties on forestry equipment was zero or very low, was a few years ago so probably has changed now.
  13. I can understand the need for a Ce mark for new equipment but this thread was started in relation to importing second hand equipment, so as used equipment does it need a Ce mark or does it need to just comply with current legislation.
  14. My chipper is has a 20 meter exclusion zone around it because it is so dangerous just got to work out how to start it and get it on a boat to Africa a new market for used chippers. global used to import and refurbish used bandit chippers from the USA to sell did they have a Ce mark or did they modify them to comply with current hse legislation?
  15. Why does it need Ce markings if you’re using it yourself and not selling it in the eu
  16. I bought a 2005 dynamic conehead low hour machine for 12 grand shipped by RV shipping then spent a further two grand putting in on a set of tracks, so in all it came to sixteen thousand for a large capacity drum chipper.
  17. From door to door ours cost around the two thousand mark to ship over, the shipping company took care of everything so was simple and stress free to import.
  18. Auto feed plus unit from the states comes with the the loom to connect to the lor unit.
  19. Sounds like a job for Dr Fahrenheit.
  20. Price per ton ?
  21. They were manufactured by dynamic manufacturing corp in the USA, what stood them apart from other chippers was the unique cone head drum design which they patented, after about ten years in business they sold out to barko who still use the chipping drum design to this day but only on 500 hp plus machines.
  22. This is my 410 with a jd 125 hp engine working last year

  24. What’s the access like,my brother is not far away from you, he has a 22 m platform for a lot cheaper than that.
  25. Hi Gary interesting question, alder roots on hard bottomed water courses always seem to push towards the central channel where the water will normally always flows. On the bank of a chalk bed river which normally flows brim full the roots don’t spread to much into the main channel, if you need any photos of alder roots in water courses let me know and I will ping some over cheers Simon
