  1. Nice chipper set up,as for Vermeer or bandit after a lot research into large chippers I would go bandit although I bought a secondhand cone head due to money or lack of.
  2. Result,at last some good news on theft.
  3. It's a great job,getting cold and wet in winter and then get eaten alive by horse flys during the summer. We contract to the drainage boards who then contract to the ea,good paying work we use a 14 and 8 ton 360 and a 15 inch chipper to get rid of the tree waste.
  4. Look on I bidder you get a lot of plant auctions on there,just check the buyer premium.
  5. I've had a 13 hp launtop on a hammer mill for the last year and it's been good apart from the petrol tank falling off due to fatigue due to not rubber mounting the engine.
  6. You could import one from the states,a lot cheaper out there even though the exchange rate is terrible.

They did but it didn't break the skin apart from my big toe which exploded out of the end,bone soup how it was explained to me all toes in the right place so no need to manipulate ,the leather boots I was wearing held them together in the right place.mi had a visit whilst in a and e from the head bone fixer who explained that broken skin Ie compound fracture needed cleaning to stop infection ,this involved pealing toe nails of and scraping out the wounds. Lucky for me he let the big toe go and gave me a huge dose of antibiotics.
  10. Steel toe caps would of made it a lot more serious ,it would of deformed and cut all the toes meaning greater risk of infection and a operation,more time off.
  11. Dropped forklift tine on toes when changing to bucket on my loader four broken toes.
  12. Sitting here with broken toes iPi would have been very useful,must look into it.
  13. Will do, not my wood any money will have to be agreed with the landowner,just waiting for my new toy to arrive from the states to clear the rest of the mess up.
  14. Bit late now but last year we cleared about 60 to 70 alders and ash from a stream bank near attleborough all about 12 to 16 inch farmer pushed the in a heap and burnt them,anything coming up in the future I will let you know.
  15. We do a lot of contracting to the local drainage boards and just started picking up more work with ea clearing failed trees out of streams and rivers etc also de silting and bank clearing etc.
  16. Thanks for the welcome and advice,I'm glad I wasn't wearing steel toe caps because of the crush injury I just managed to get away with the compound fracture of the big toe anymore split skin they would of removed my nails and scraped out the wounds meaning longer of work.
  17. Hi just joined forum and from Norfolk no webbed feet just four broken toes from dropping a forklift tine on my foot so have a bit of spare reading time.
