  1. Take a sturdy black bin liner with you on the job, put the tags in the bin liner and then put the bin liner in the bin... Then once home, get out a piece of paper and a good pen and write out one hundred times.. Common sense is my friend, I will default to its advice whenever a simple problem can be solved by a simple solution..
  2. Damn you learn some stuff on this forum.... Been doin my own trailer wiring up today, little utility trailer I've had years, kids and borrowing it out have done for my lighting system.. Sat here with the new lamps following the online instruction of what wires to put where.. Just need to fit em on the trailer tomorrow..

try it out before you buy it, you don't want to spend ten minutes pulling your arm out trying to get it going every time you use it... Check the blade as well, see if it ain't twisted or bent, havin said that, its about thirty quid for a new blade, dependin on where you get one from..
  4. Thanks for clearing that up Reg, been botherin me tryin to figure it out LOL... Your friend ought take a steak on his bike rides, throw it at a Cougar, slap it in the face..
  5. less of the sleaze please, its a Satday morning for goodness sake..
  6. Been watching a slew of your vids Reg just of late.. Now being the curious type and getting a little stumped, I've been trying to place your accent... Theres a hint of Manc mixed with a Northern accent,, coupled with a early vid promoting Fletcher Stewart, I'm leaning towards Olham Stockport area..maybe even Bury?... Other than that, when do the bears come out, and are there any Brown bears to be worryin about in those parts?... A friend of mine moved to Canada, while having his breakfast, his girlfriend bolted out the kitchen screaming for her life, he thinks, WTF, turns round to see whats amiss and there not ten feet away was a Black bear making its way towards the open patio doors looking to join em for a breakfast.....
  7. Gramma nazi on the prowl.......
  8. When I did Adrian Wall last year, I used this as my shelter... Just enough room to be enough room but no more than that.... Rab Siltarp (2013) | Tents | Live for the Outdoors
  9. More like man not afraid to speak his mind.. not cowed by the establishment and its cronies.... And not afraid to speak on subjects long suppressed by the PC cowards of our age... Yes, and intelligent as opposed to our modern day politicians who insult the intelligence of their electorate.. Take immigration for example, the number concern of the electorate on the doorstep. Gordon Brown, when confronted by these concerns, smiles and dodges hard answers and thence goes on a rant about bigots.... This is why trump is doing so well, he seems to be the only politician that listens, and means to do something about the concerns of those who elect him...
  10. You do realize the underlying message here, Its not about women having abortions and people think its immoral... Its about the changing demographics and how to reverse that trend... I think women should be allowed to have an abortion whenever it suits. But I also think most women should look at having five children as a rule of thumb.. We have two options, do nothing and one day Britain will become the Brazil of Europe, or do something about it before its to late.... Hence Donald trumps flip from Pro choice to pro life.....he gets it..
  11. Yes, and thats why I suggested an "ignorance is bliss" approach..
  12. Well done..... I'll know what to do if ever I get a job like this.....
  13. What could be done is get the phone number of the owner of the tree and ring the fella up... Explain the situation to the owner without dropping the neighbor in it, and see if its OK to get on with the removal... That way all parties are happy... and one is none the wiser to why it might have fallen down... The fella gets paid for removing the tree, the neighbors happy the evidence has gone, and the owner is happy the neighbors paid for the job... everyone ends up happy and none the worse for it....
  14. If your chopping that tree up, why not finish the job why you're there?... I mean, why give anyone an excuses to spend money on the legal system.. Its not gonna put the tree back is it?...
  15. Someone on another thread said they took one in and its no questions asked, they just replaced it....
  16. kelly Kettle?.. that lump, takes up more room than two fat elephants... If you wanna a brew and no electric, nothin better than a trangia.. keep one in the van if you must, an a litre of meths... You can even cook your dinner why you're about it..... I make ma porridge in the morning on mine.....if'n I have porridge that is...
  17. Got caught out in the goat shed today, me three goats and a ram all holed up in a garden shed converted to their home.. lightning strikes all round us, not sure the goats gave a monkeys though. Me, I had visions of a lightning bolt setting fire to the shed an all the lot of us goin up in flames hahahah
  18. Hahah, Oh right then.... had a bit of a WTF moment when I realized what was goin on LOL
  19. Been looking at log splitters as you do when your toying with the idea of getting one one day... Came across this beauty, runs on hay an oats LOL... [ame] [/ame]
  20. I was gonna say that, that the sense of satisfaction must be great after finishing your trailer build...
  21. I think he mean't safer, not can't be bothered to learn... For me, I think if you really want to understand climbing techniques, then you have to plow a lot of time into Utube.. Little by little bits seem to sink in... I mean if you aren't actually a working arborist that is.. Look at me for example, never so much as touched a proper climbers rope till the back end of last summer, I've gone from learning how to body thrust up a single rope, to now, where I'm having a stab at SRT... I even ruminated on that two rope thread, thinking that might be a better/safer way to go... I do have the advantage of a couple of tree's to practice on though... But the point is, you can condense years of experience into months or weeks if you have a mind to...
  22. I'd guess, just shy of whats needed LOL...
  23. Had a lot of trouble over the winter with my Transit.. couldn't work out why near every morning it was dead as a doornail.. Turns out batteries only last so long so replacing them every three to fours years is always a good idea... Instead of walking over to ma van with gritted teeth in the morn, I now get in it without a thought other than what I got in it for in the first place... And, to think I'd spent most of the Winter fumigating for want of a new battery... I could of kicked maself after I changed that battery...
  24. Reg Coats went for the Stihl 150 over the battery powered Husky.. Though he did like the Husky one, just too expense for what it does... [ame] [/ame]
  25. Sorry you put a new pic up as I was writing my piece LOL...
