    I know I'm too cheap and would like to charge more, but I've just built the sides up on my small log trailer to hold 1 loose cube and now charge £80, it was £70. If I suddenly go up to the sort of prices talked about on here, I think my customers might be a little grumpy! I don't pay for timber though.

    Shame, the 365 isn't a patch on the 7900. I won't be bothering sending mine off and I will deal with any issue if and when it happens.

    The 7900 is a belting saw, fast, grunty and loves a 24" bar. I packaged mine up and took it to my local dealer a couple of weeks ago. I popped down the other day to see if it was back, they hadn't been out to pick it up! I said "sod it" and brought it back home with me.

    Bought mine in 2016 and not had an issue, mind you, I'm not fresh out of "click clack school"? so not sure if the brake has ever been activated ?

    Anyone know anything about a recall on makita 6100 and 7900 saws? Dealer close to me mentioned he had to send some back, some he had sold and a couple of new ones off the shelf. He couldn't remember exactly what it was for, but thought it was brake related.

    I have both. Had my 550 since 2012 and has only needed one brake band. exhaust is well drilled and runs 15" and 18" bars with 3/8th chain. Had the ea5000 just over a year. It is slightly heavier when you pick them up side by side, but that vanishes in use. The 5000 is a far smoother/ vibe free saw to use and I find it handles as well if not better than the 550. It felt slighly flat compared to the 550 at first, as it has no rev-boost, but it does rev well and I think it is slightly torquier. It runs a 3/8 chain just fine and I pick it up before the 550 now.

    Would any of you guys that have the cs390, be able to stick up some videos of the saw cutting. I have seen Robs couple, but there isn't much cutting action. Be good to get an idea of how well they cut at max bar length if possible please.

    Never had an l200, how do you put them in 4wd? Is it old school levers or do you push a button for 4wd and then have a lever for high and low box? If the latter, chances are it is vacuum operated and you may have a split vacuum hose in the system.

    My makita ea5000 has an S shape configuration on the cap, which puts pressure on two points if using a screwdriver to undo it as opposed to the center of the cap which then breaks them. Are the new ones S shaped?

    Thanks. Not bought one yet, yours are the best price I have found.

    They are a cracking saw. Have 18", 24" and 28" bars on mine. Never had an issue with it apart from the oil cap. Don't use the brake unless it kicks on itself. Don't know why people buy secondhand 441's and 460's when these are £550 new.
