  1. Well, I have ordered the Fox one, so will see how it does. Should be here by the weekend.
  2. The metabo is a nice looking machine. £519 is the cheapest I can find it for and seems a good price, just more than I need to spend. Too much choice and too many machines that cost "just that little bit more". Dilemma alright
  3. I'm after a small planer/thicknesser like this FOX F22-564-250 Woodworking 10" x 5" Planer Thicknesser Timber/Wood/Plank,240v | eBay. It will only have occasional use so I can't/don't have the need or the funds for anything more professional. Anyone use something similar or have any views or opinions on this type of machine
  4. I have just come away from PAYE, but we had to give a weeks notice for a day off and two weeks if we wanted a week or more off. In a big company like the one I was in, you will always get people who tow the line and those that don't. Then it is up to management to either pull people up on it or let it slide.
  5. Very nice Si:thumbup1: Will mine hop through the post tomorrow?
  6. Saw a row of conny stems carved into leaping salmon down a driveway. Stems were a lot smaller though.
  7. Justme, what processor did you get in the end?
  8. Makita 7900. Love mine. From cold it grumbles for a few seconds, then clears its' throat and tries to drag you up the road
  9. How much would the bottom piece cost please?
  10. Ok, I will run a tape across it and check it over. It has been in a dry barn the last 12 years.
  11. Somehow along the way, I have acquired an 8ft ring kiln, no lid or chimneys, just the ring. Was going to make a lid up or turn it into a fish pond. I'm suspecting not, but any good?
  12. What sort of price are you looking for?
  13. Why can't it be towed on the road?
  14. Anyone used or purchased one of these FP160 Firewood Processor | Woodland Mills United Kingdom
  15. Is that plus vat?
  16. How about the woodlandsmill petrol powered one that is advertised on the milling section of the forum. At just over £6k I'm sure it would fit the domestic bit of the equation. What sort of prices are the ones above?
  17. Thanks Max. Are the inerds bolted in place inside the exhaust and have you felt the need to adjust the carb?
  18. That would be great, thanks.
  19. Have you completely gutted the exhaust Max? Tempted to do the same to mine if the gains are worthwhile.

    Cats

Not sure what it consists of, but can a catalytic thingy be removed from a chainsaw exhaust without any harm to the saw? Anyone got any pictures of what is in a cat exhaust?
  21. lol, wait 'til you get a tw*t in the face and THEN put the visor down
  22. Already sounds stock proof! Think of the pain/pleasure when all those scratches hit hot water in the bath, luurvly!!
  23. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/milling-forum/96340-anyone.html It's covered in the above link, although they don't seem to have any in stock at the moment. I have milled some 20" wide spruce boards, some ash and some elm and it has been fine, suits my needs.
  24. Doesn't look like a wasp nest from that picture or your description. Can't shed any light on what it is though, maybe a fungal growth. Please don't go squashing wasps, everything has its' place. Think we all know the biggest pest species on this planet!
