  1. Looks like hornbeam to me. Probably wrong though, usually am apparently ?
  2. Used a small syringe for years to get blackthorn out, works well. Need to just break the skin again if healed over, then draw it out. Not a problem one handed either.
  3. Or when a certain someone drinks all your diesel because the whisky has run out?
  4. I'm carrying on best I can. Only doing jobs in the middle of nowhere and having no contact with anyone. Just what is "their" definition of essential work? It's essential to me, so I will work!

Mass brainwashing slogans to make you feel bad if we don't all do as we are told.

    Interesting take on things.
  8. And lets face it, it probably wasn't that wonderful ??
  9. Had toyed with the idea of selling, but seem to have a bit more time on my hands now. I just lift timber on by hand. I source my own wood, so can cut it to what I can lift. I know I probably should take note of what it produces, but I don't. As I just split for myself and a few locals, all I know is it is a lot easier than an axe.?
  10. Thanks for that. Will look into those modules, know nothing about them.
  11. Just to jump in on this thread with a cpc query. I passed my HGV class 2 back in 1992, but have not driven professionally since. Does the acquired rights still apply to me and can I just do the 35 hour refresher?
  12. I have one that I bought a couple of years ago. Not used it as much as I had hoped due to lack of time. Suits me fine and does what I need.
  13. For sharpening I put a spare bar in a vice with the chain on and tension it with a bungee cord.
  14. My makita 7900 had a decomp, never wanted to start if pressed in, so you are better off without it.
  15. Is that where you can find old Isuzu trucks Ken? ??
  16. They have been absorbed over the last couple of years by a company called NBC. An ex-employee is filling the gap and I wish him success.

  18. Oh no! Wait for it, wait for it!! Not my plaice to say ?

  20. I might just muddle on with my 560xp and ms650 and put the money towards another motorbike instead ?
  21. Cheers guys. I am leaning towards the 462, but then I went and handled a 500i. Only slightly heavier side by side, but still a light saw for what it is and only £90 more ?
  22. I know neither have been out that long, but are they proving reliable so far and people happy with them. Thinking about a kind of do-it-all saw and either of these two would fit the bill, just can't decide which one. Been impressed with my 560xp, so quite keen on the 572, but the lighter 462 looks tempting.
  23. Hhmmm, not sure how that affects machine drivers in their warm waterproof cabs though! ?
  24. Jeez, fancy getting caught in a photo while wearing a shirt like that!!
