  1. Hi Richie Well worth persevering with the ZZ IMO . I've had mine nearly a year now and I love it. I've put my hitch climber on my side strop with a VT. It's a great combo.
  2. Or set them on the roof of the van, as long as they've still got the rubber feet on its fine.
  3. She's reading this and laughing at her new name!
  4. Agreed Rich, but my sugi bar is already looking well used, the lettering has almost gone now..,
  5. You can buy specialist needle stick proof gloves. I seem to remember they cost about £150 a pair. You can get large sharp bins through local chemist or local needle exchange. Charge for the service as appropriate. If it is a common occurrence and there are lots of needles then your boss/director has a legal and moral obligation to safeguard the workforce.
  6. Don't you think our chipper gets enough stick already

In this country people are taught the art of helplessness.

I do a lot of work with recovering addicts. I was one myself which is why I have a passion for helping others escape from the clutches of addiction. I have come to learn that making someone comfortable in their addiction is definitely not a good thing. It was only when I had lost everything and everyone, had squandered every resource and hit absolute rock bottom that I really got serious about turning my life around. The biggest favour my family did for me was shut the door on me. (This was after they had tried everything else to help me). If you continually keep bailing an addict out when they hit crisis point, they never feel the full effect of the consequences of their actions. Current government and medical policy is to "maintain" addicts and make them comfortable. So much so that it has become a career/lifestyle choice for many. Why should people want to change when everything is put on a plate for them.
  10. 4 inch treated posts set vertically with postfix behind the sleepers. Timber lock screws to fasten them together. Always over-engineer everything, especially the depth of the post holes. If seepage is likely to be an issue then drill some weep holes through the sleepers.
  11. Hi Jon, my mate had a fox terrier it was very unpredictable. Would turn on people for no reason. I like the look of Manchester terriers. Saw one the other day was very friendly too, looked a bit like a micro-Doberman My missus wants a Bernese Mountain dog. I think you'd need a big shovel to clean it's bombs up.
  12. I've been mindful of your deafening silence on this subject for a while now. The suspense is killing me....,,
  13. Very sad... RIP
  14. Sewn eye to eye 0.65mm ocean polyester here, with either a 3 wrap VT or distel.
  15. Sounds like its time to give any trusted employees the opportunity to do some quotes while you are away. A good way to invest in your workforce and raise people up.
  16. I think the Prabos boots have an aluminium toe cap. Now my Haix on the way out I'll be looking at getting a pair of these next (perhaps) has anyone tried them ?
  17. Do they make ones for a mog, Jon ?? :)
  18. Put these continentals on the mog about 6 months ago. Would have preferred something a little more road friendly but these came at the right money so on they went.
  19. A eucalyptus reduction from the other day. Gutted I didn't get a before shot but I was pleased with the end result as it was quite a hard reduction.
  20. Just noticed a split on the uppers of my Hiax. Not sure if they have steel or composites. Think I'll make sure of steel caps with whatever new ones I buy.
  21. Very painful trees to work on... Good pics
  22. I have wondered if the Russians do a 3.5t truck. Their Kamaz trucks win the Paris Dakar and are built like tanks.
  23. Not that I know of. Hence the never ending quest........
  24. The never ending quest for a perfect arb-tipper continues....
