  1. Hope it works out mate, whatever you decide.
  2. You're welcome mate. I remember how chuffed you were when you landed the job.
  3. One of the trials of working life is "difficult people" they are to be found in many firms, certainly on every construction site I've ever worked on and in many working environments. When you get "difficult people" in leadership over you then life does become very challenging. Being able to deal with these situations with integrity and self respect can be a real tightrope but in doing so we develop our own character and skills that can only be learned in these difficult situations. It may be worth sticking around Jammydog... In management, people that aren't good at their job tend to have a limited shelf life.. Sooner or later they get found out. Remember mate, the cream rises to the top... (The scum gets scraped off) Hope things work out for you. Timon
  4. My wife has asthma which sends her into coughing fits. It's really nasty. She's got lots of food allergies which kicks her asthma off. She has to be really strict with her diet to help combat it. The damp weather over here doesn't help either. I feel for you mate.
  5. If you've still got some Tarmac left over from the other job. Can you quote me to do my living room with what's left?
  6. Welcome back Paul, glad things are going well for you.
  7. We have a heavy duty reciprocating Breadknife that we hire out to other firms from time to time. Sounds like just the kind of tool for this job.
  8. Fabulous work..
  9. If you liked the 550 you'll LOVE the 560
  10. Heard of one firm snapping a line and the end got fed into the chipper.. (No.. It wasn't us ) I've pinged a couple.
  11. I think I will give a whirl..
  12. Now I can see it Nice work by the way...
  13. Ahh! Can't see that. I've got the iphone app.. It just shows it on the time line. It doesn't help that I'm 50 and getting slower on the uptake...
  14. Heard good things about them. Wouldn't mind learning how to splice. I think Johnny Quick has a good instructional video on splicing too.. I have to make do with bowlines myself...
  15. Big thanks to who Joe ???
  16. I thought I might enjoy the challenge too....... Roll on the new 395xp
  17. Yup.... Definitely need a bigger saw
  18. We just encountered the same thing on our 220 (mog pto driven) turned out it was a combination of things.. Blades needed turning... Clutch on the mog was slightly slipping. I don't know what sort of clutch/drive yours has but could it be that it is running slightly slower? This would cause it to clog.
  19. Many a true word spoken in jest That's right... Flat out or on the shelf
  20. I know...... Besides the autotune gets used to the owner.
  21. That's the plan. Justo took the crown out yesterday and left me the stem. A few snatches and fell the stick.
  22. I did 11 x 60ft scots pines into 18" logs in a day the other week it was 32degrees. I think the saw got a tad hot. Also I Lent it out.Hasn't been the same since. Waiting for new clutch parts. Guess I am a bit heavy handed if I'm brutally honest
  23. 20" it is then! We're saving our pennies for a 395xp for big stuff. Thanks Joe
  24. My 560 is in the workshop awaiting parts (that apparently are held up at Calais ) Blocking down a big oak stem tomorrow with a 441. I've got a 20" bar and a 30" bar. It will be interesting to see how it copes.

Or hand to hand (or paw) combat. Make it even more interesting.
