  1. Switched from a vega to a treemotion about a year ago. I'm still not convinced that there is a huge improvement. The vega is a very comfortable harness.
  2. Painting tonight then a DVD Jon...
  3. Is that a picture of Aleister Crowley as a small child?
  4. Nice one guys! Had a great day with family and friends. Had a nice climb and some excellent birthday cake home baked by my amazing missus.
  5. Sorry to hear that Dave. Hope you get sorted and recover from it quickly. Timon
  6. A few pics from a sycamore removal we did today. Cut and chucked most of it then chogged the stem down. Didn't want to fell it and smash the patio.
  7. Thanks guys!!
  8. I made it to 50 against all the odds.. Probably going to have to change my name on here now
  9. Same here VI, I just thought it made for interesting reading.... And for provoking thought..... I'm not trying to push my views on anyone or convert anyone. Having said that I am very grateful to my mum that she didn't go there
  10. http://www.thenewamerican.com/culture/faith-and-morals/item/21346-cecil-the-lion-ranks-higher-than-planned-parenthood-s-baby-holocaust
  11. Came across this news article explaining how the killing of a lion has caused more outrage than the horrific scandal at planned parenthood. We truly live in a very mixed up world. Very sad.
  12. Another vote here for the 560... Great power to weight ratio and very nicely balanced.
  13. Great replies guys. Thanks
  14. That's just what I was thinking.... The difference between performing a rescue in a sterile, contrived situation and having to perform one after a serious accident in a tree must be like chalk and cheese.
  15. Just wondering...., do any of you guys out there practice aerial rescues on a regular basis? Have any of you had to perform this in a "live" scenario and what advice would you give to others who haven't. Thanks in advance. Timon
  16. Stuffed into a bag every time. I did learn to coil a rope but the bag makes much more sense.
  17. Similar situation to us Bob. We send all our arisings to one of two places that process arb arisings that are on the doorstep. Now and again we will sell the odd load of logs but like you we can't afford to go too far out of our way. There's no way we could justify investing in the equipment to process. The sums just don't add up. If we had problems filling our diary then maybe we would have to look into it, thankfully we keep busy with trees. Timon
  18. We couldn't make firewood/logs pay. Too busy doing the actual trees. Fair play to you Bob.
  19. Same here..... It's hard to con an honest man...
  20. I worked in a factory years ago where a guy did just that. He only ever spent Sundays at home. Looked like a pretty miserable existence
  21. Would be good to get a recce climb together in the midlands sometime.
  22. Precision engineering......
  23. Tranny cab on a mog chassis..... Almost sacrilege
  24. Great video Jesse. Enjoyed watching the different techniques. Thanks for sharing
