  1. Ouch, poor design that, you would expect more from a established company.
  2. Sounds like you would be best agreeing a day rate and working to that if you ain't seen it mate.
  3. First up, has a felling licence been put in place? Is your job to fell and stack? What's happening to the brash? You will need someone working with you. Insurance. What diameter trees? That will determine guide bar length and then saw size. Work on a day rate covering your costs and wages etc.
  4. Looks like it will need to be rigged down, you need working space around the tree and also somewhere for all the Brash and timber. Looks like the understory is laurel so that will grow back. For a big tree like that I would say about £600-£750 from the pics. As they say, you can't make an omelette without breaking eggs.
  5. A mate of mine does a cycle race every year called the Fred Witton, it is a 90 mile race around the Lakes, the Last miles are up Wrynose and Hardknott, they must be mad.
  6. You should of brought me 12 cans of Aspen Barrie. LOL.
  7. I know folk who have put old carpet down on paths and then put the Woodchip on top.
  8. Yes it's Eddie and he is a very helpful bloke.
  9. I saw the sky lining stuff out at Buttermere last month so maybe.
  10. Probs will be F/C round there or trust. I think they contract out the harvesting.
  11. Hodge

The boss sounds like a plonker.
  12. Have you had one?
  13. I was hoping to see you on the Arbtalk stand and put a face to a name mate:) some other time I hope.
  14. I was well chuffed to get my hat first thing on Friday, thanks Eddie.
  15. Cool, so you just chuck it all in and let it get to work? Is it pro powered?
  16. 344 miles round trip for me and as I met Mendiplogs (Jon) it was worth it!!
  17. What is it? A trailer?
  18. Ha,Ha, good one Dean.
  19. Did green mech have a stand? I never saw them?
  20. I thought it was mop water from the loos, it ruined my mate who drank a pint of Jons cizzer.
  21. Ditto. Very impressed, had a good chat with the guys and the future is "orange"
  22. Cheers Dean, that was excellent. Mmmm
  23. Took me 6 hours back from the APF to the lakes, traffic was proper pants. But it was excellent to meet people off Arbtalk.
  24. Mendip logs having a bit of Kendal Mintcake.
  25. That's pretty much the hat I was thinking too, don't under sell your self and your work. £800-£1k.
