  1. I agree, I will stand up for Timberwolf without question as it has made me a living for over 10 years, sure it's had a few things go but not in the dramatic way people on here go on about.. It will chip away on big jobs happily all day long. I will quite happily keep my chipper for another 1000 hours but it makes sense to look at changing soon for the tax benefits. I am excited to be getting the new 230 on demo soon but will only buy it if it is made into a VTR.
  2. I'm looking forward to checking out the forst vari track and the new Timberwolf (hopefully vari track) at the AFP, that's my mission for the show, I am wanting to replace my 150 vtr in the next year so let's see what is going to be best for me. Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  3. I have started to use the visor on my petzl vertex helmet, it's really good, better IMO than the stein set up. Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  4. My mate is a climber in Oslo, he is on here under the name of James austrums, you could drop him a pm and he could give you some info:) Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk

    Books

I loved trail of the dead Mark, you mentioned it a few years back and I really enjoyed it. A few linwood Barclay books are good. I am reading a Nordic crime thriller at the moment called the keeper of lost causes which is looking good so far. Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  6. Cool, I will call later. Thanks. Hodge
  7. The area leading into the rollers being black is quite misleading as it makes the hole look bigger than it is;) I would prefer it to be orange. Hodge
  8. I'm not sure what's most disturbing, sitting in your truck for 20 mins watching or the fools doing it for so little money, just forget it and move on mate. Hodge
  9. I really hope so mate, having a VTR machine really has been a job winner for me on many job. Thanks for the info, I will be going to have a butchers at the APF. Hodge
  10. Like it, I was wondering if there was a better way to pack it away today whilst I was packing mine away. Hodge
  11. Just wondering why you would pay more for Birch than Sycamore when Sycamore is a far better and longer lasting log than Birch? Hodge
  12. Me too, crap design! Hodge
  13. Multi tip on my rayco RG 13 was excellent and made a big difference to such a small machine. I now have a HB20 but with green teeth which a very good. Hodge
  14. But if you give a chain a tickle then it won't go blunt unless you hit something. You wouldn't let your car run out of fuel before filling up would you so tickle the chain at the first sign of dulling. Hodge
  15. Buy a testing kit. If it's like a fish tank that needs cycling before introducing fish then a test kit would show. Ammonia and nitrite levels need to be spot on before putting fish in. But as I said I don't know if a pond needs the same. Also do you run a filter and air pump? Hodge

  17. I use vallorbe, they last ages. Hodge
  18. I just drop the trailer ramp and tip the body up and chip away. It works for me:) Hodge
  19. Just changed the oil and filters on the Chipper, new belts also. I would of do e the blades and turned the Anvils but it started to rain. Now watching TV while mini me has his nap. We have been away for the weekend so its nice to be home:) Hodge
  20. Ha,Ha, good one but I'm not Cumbrian. I was born when it was Westmorland so that's my excuse;) Hodge
  21. My GX84 has a ramp up the back, we do quite a lot of small jobs as Steve describes and it is fine but for longer jobs I put the chipper in the drive and back in the landy and its spot on, it takes about 2 mins to take off the chipper and un hitch the trailer and park it up. Hodge
  22. My hopper is not the folding type, you can get a Brian James trailer that is a low ride trailer and makes it just like a road tow, mine is a GX84 ifor and I manage just fine. It weighs just over a tonne. Hodge
  23. Thought you couldn't swear on Arbtalk? I got 3 points for it. Hodge
  24. If that's the case I won't be buying one. I will just upgrade my 150 VTR to greaseable bearings and steel fan blades. It will be a let down if thy don't make a VTR. Is the Forst variable tracks? Hodge
  25. We filled a grain trailer with mine once, doing a load of connys. Hodge
