  1. A Silky couldnt do this though.
  2. Well the 545rxt carb settled down and fixed its self somehow with regards to starting without me doing anything different so i never thought it needed to be checked anymore. It was working fine with no issues for a few months since last Nov. Then I noticed a few weeks back the bearings on the gearbox are feeling rough so im not very confident they will last that long & yesterday it started leaking all the fuel out of the carb like this: Just so happens it was the hottest day in 2025 so far yesterday also but was not really that hot..... Also my 550xp suddenly started leaking its chain oil at the same time....which is new...
  3. Ive done it for 3 or 4 different fussy mrs miggin's several yrs ago who didn't want any of the leaves cut in half so it is a real thing. Yeah is all conny on a closer look
  4. So whats the advantage of theese gun grip style things over the smaller battery toppers like the battery echo for example? Im not sure the total weight it that much different?
  5. Non apart from the neighbours can peer at you if using the backyard. Also thats beech on one side not conny.
  6. All theese saws imo are more dangerous than a regular chainsaw in some ways in the fact that they are designed for one handed use and the small size & weight may encourage complaceny The above mentioned safety features are relatively irrevelant to its safety imo versus always just being aware of the dangers of the one handed use issue. See what can happen with battery secateurs:
  7. So to reduce occluded union trouble in future by making one side apical dominant? Plus also better timber size on harvest from the remaining dominant unpruned branches?
  8. Whats the reason for the 4 cuts in the crown?
  9. Tesla is done in Germany: 94% say they won't buy a Tesla car | Electrek ELECTREK.CO A survey of over 100,000 Germans revealed that 94% won’t buy a Tesla vehicle. It doesn’t bode well for the... Seems the nazi-ism isn't going down very well in germany for telsa?
  10. Usually graves will sink down I thought after a few yrs.....
  11. 7yrs old now?
  12. All green waste can make compost etc eventually so even hedge clippings has some value.
  13. Counted the rings on the stump?
  14. In soviet russia chainsaw scratches u!
  15. A 3/8 lp 0.50 with 52 links chain is needed for that carlton bar Says that here: https://documents.kramp.com/Carlton_Catalogue_UK_.re.pdf & that sprocket I linked before.
  16. Some FC booklet used to do guidance as to the going rates but it was a few yrs back?
  17. The USA link gives the sprocket dimensions they seem to be all different. Its the 6 tooth spur 3/8 is what you want I think?.(more torque less speed but with narrower kerf helping speed?) The 7t spur .325 (with .058) is for the 420es in that manual I dont think if you need a new sprocket for a new bar/chain .050 .325 as are you saying you have .058 , & .325 atm? (just the correct bar mount pattern) This stuff confuses me so correct me if wrong....
  18. Seem odd for a small saw to have 0.58, I thought it would already be 0.50 from new as standard See in the manual it is listed as a 0.50 https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.worldofmowers.co.uk/UploadedWorkshopFiles/c04db574-4bb1-43ed-a1f6-b6a5a36ceec0.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwjp3bWi3fyLAxVXTUEAHUsGG9AQFnoECBMQAQ&usg=AOvVaw2ssDymAKebKwZ8p5Pxfkp- Alot of different bar options here: Chainsawbars - Selectors for guide bars, chains and sprockets WWW.CHAINSAWBARS.CO.UK Chainsawbars - Largest selection of chainsaw guide bars and chainsaw chain for Stihl, Husqvarna, Echo and Dolmar... The 6 tooth 3/8 sprocket here; Amazon.co.uk WWW.AMAZON.CO.UK Echo Repair Part A556000400 - Clutch Drum | PartsTree WWW.PARTSTREE.COM Parts lookup and repair parts diagrams for outdoor equipment like Toro mowers, Cub Cadet tractors, Husqvarna chainsaws... Seems a rare-ish part no. to find^ & abit expensive?
  19. Exhaut heat causing some damage im guessing but i have no idea really?
  20. Radio 4 or CD albums only no other music stations.
  21. How did it happen? Might be some issue with the saw to do that 4 times?
  22. I always found the the blades liable to twist then jam but never really used them much or tinkered with then personally it...was mostly on borrowed tools as a volunteer I like it that new blades are cheap. Since a bought a small battery saw I hardly use silky saws much. How efficient a pair of good loppers is imo much under apreciated as most loppers are so poor. A curved anvil design is very good but this type arent used or sold much in the UK. Loewe Loppers 22 100 cm with Curved Blade PGHORTICULTURE.CO.UK Loppers with anvil counter blade, that combine advantages of both ordinary bypass and anvil loppers. Very robust, but yet...
  23. The name zero height safety doesn't inspire confidence 🙂
  24. Not tried the echo but have used a ms181 and other smililar budget saws etc I didin't like any much as they are alot weaker and not much lighter than the 4301 so were a big step down in cutting performance for a very little advantage in weight... The 2511 does apeal as it has a very good power to weight ratio( its alot lighter) and the top handle version is well regarded. Id want to try it for it coppicing hazel etc I like the 15 bar on the 4301 tried a 13" one and found it less useful. Other "pro" small options are the 201 and 540XPMK3 rear saws but they are more than the echo. Both have very good power to weight..
