  1. Looks great and much more arb than mine, but a cam buckle tie down strap with hook into bottom of pole, plus archery trigger does the same job.
  2. If Ridarb can't sort for you, try johnny gurka on here, he has an alpine and flail quite near you
  3. Not south Wales but Rob Blake in Bridgwater is not a million miles away. Did my training with him a few years ago and thought he ran an excellent course, backed up by a lot of industry experience, and a good collection of knackered kit!
  4. I much prefer Allgear cable over Cobra, far easier to install and adjust, the Gleistein looks very similar to that, if it is AG recommend a brummel splice so suspect will be similar to that.
  5. That looks handy, from Alan as well?
  6. Jackets - British Military Surplus Had a few decent jackets from here
  7. How old is he? Can lessen risk of various nasties having them off if he's knocking on.
  8. Sounds good, what did you prefer on the pasquali compared to bsc agt etc? Or mainly price/service?
  9. Very nice Adam! Is that from Alan Munn? What d'you think the loader will manage max?
  10. Husky 555fxt and their own scarlett blade, I struggled to get 555s from husky uk a few years ago, if they're still being 'interesting' to deal with you can get them easily elsewhere. Much better than the longer shaft rxt models for clearing/respacing
  11. Brilliant, is it partially burnt to finish?
  12. Avoid the port-a-wrap style lowering devices if you can, they do the job but any of the single drum bollard types, with a back plate are a big improvement. Tree runner P500 is what we use for what you describe, and it's decent. Have a look at x-ring slings and similar, that and a DMM pinto rig or two, and probably any of common 12 or 14mm ropes will be fine.
  13. NTM mapping overlaid on an aerial photo will help you get accurate canopy outlines, but obviously not stem position.
  14. I've pm'd you some details of my TP130 pto chipper, over your budget perhaps but I'd rather have my money in a TP than any of the other pto chippers I've seen to fit small tractors.
  15. Can do that for you Ken, quite often in MK
  16. Well done Jenny, I think many of us will be visiting to contribute, such sad news. RIP Dave
  17. Looks like Trametes versicolor
  18. http://www.ptstools.co.uk/pdf/Lincmaster%20powerpoint%20pdf.pdf Choose one from Lincmaster, many times heavier duty/better thought out than anything else I've had.
  19. RSL near Watford built me something similar for my alpine, wouldn't expect it to phase Richard building you something smaller for a loader.
  20. I like my duc302z, for what it is. Have you seen the new duc353z rear handled saw? Much higher chain speed than the 302
  21. Import a 555fxt from sweden, (unless husky uk will sell you one, they wouldn't last time I checked) mine get used as yours, although we don't hold full revs all day. Much better in the woods with a shorter shaft and thumb throttle too.
  22. Agreed, mine was much improved with front wheel weights, and had belly/front and side guarding made up
  23. Have done, and agree with iveco have also kept my gravity feed
  24. I did the same as you're pondering a few years ago Matt, and have now upgraded to a larger pto based set up, so have my first pto chipper for sale if interested. TP130pto
  25. From the angle of the bridge looks like tree is at top of a bank, assume he didn't want the logs to head down to the chipper under their own steam
