  1. Are you using the euro mini ino flail or the euro L?
  2. Have you got a belly plate on yours? Might help if not
  3. PM broadsword on here, or google Lynher training
  4. Will do, what alpine/which loader have you got out of interest?
  5. I'm selling a 2014 TP130 pto (516kg) which has 8.5in x 5in infeed if that's of interest, it chomps through most material well and the antistress system rarely kicks in on my 50 hp alpine (82kg flywheel), and if you're not chipping acres of difficult blackthorn etc its ok Agree with Tom that you will likely be pulling wheelies with an 8 inch machine, but if not too steep/wet and you can reverse up banks etc a bigger machine might be ok.
  6. Some solid looking products there, anyone else use them?
  7. The show sounds great, ace photos, wish I could've made it. Had a good surprise this evening though, just finishing work NE of Duxford and heard first, then saw a pair of spits doing a loop, stunning.
  8. If they are all small sites with short extraction distances, have you thought of a grapple skidder instead? If it's tight woodland and you're new to operating you might cause more damage shunting a forwarding trailer and tractor around than just skidding timber out, and if you have one with a rotator on you can always pick up small bundles and carry out. Also what Duffryn says is worth noting, a small crane winch or skidding grapple mounted winch will help you a lot.
  9. Arboricultural Consultants - Tree Survey / Tree Report - Yorkshire Based These guys know their stuff, give them a shout.
  10. Just four bits of 20mm plate I think, then bolted through existing holes in wheels. Yeah the puncture gunk has worked well so far, famous last words!
  11. Yup, the welder painted them red, can just see them. Riko also supplied with puncture sealant so have that floating about in there.
  12. This is mine with front weights that RSL made up for me, about right with the grapple on, sometimes could do with a bit more carrying the chipper, but not often. [/img]

  14. You can export as dxf from the BS5837 setup if that's what you mean? Also options for arborcad I think. Give them a shout, always been helpful with queries.
  15. Some nice bikes coming out:001_smile: Quick pointer towards shimano M424 pedals, much easier to get your foot back into after a dab, and enough platform for it not to be game over if you land not clipped in. Also cheap, and light for the money, I thought they'd die pretty quick but not the case so far.
  16. Def get some wheel weights on, helped mine a lot. RSL in Barnet were a lot less than the agt ones, and clear the valve guards. http://www.country.ee/ Link for crane specs
  17. Have you spoken to truck and marine? Gave me a quote for something smaller pretty quickly
  18. Thanks for posting, fig19 showing an increase in growth is interesting
  19. You could try Andy Collins on here, he may still have a jo beau, suspect he would come with it as operator.
  20. Should have one or two bits that've been down for about a year.
  21. Blimey prices have come down a lot then, sounds a great deal. I use OTISS and a sony xperia tablet, sold as waterproof but I use it in a case anyway. I wouldn't get carried away with gps performance figures, if you use aerials as base mapping you can correct easily. Remember the bulk of Trimble and others products are developed for the survey market, which has far higher requirements than we need to produce an accurate tree survey plan.
  22. Not as far as I know, but arcpad costs ~£500 a license I think, and plenty of android software will do the same thing for much less. Are you being provided with survey software written for arcpad, or just want to edit shp files in the field?
  23. Used arcpad on a juno a lot years ago, and worked well, but as already said don't expect great things from gps accuracy. Didn't have a problem with bad weather, survived many arb surveys and a fair bit of forestry work, which was often pretty soggy! Unless you're already tied in to esri products I'd look at android devices, will likely do all you need for a lot less.
