  3. Wide spark plug gaps, centre of gauge 0.058" almost, common size. still think it is for bars. H-A
  4. Bar gauge. H-A
  5. No hard UPVC, pop down to your local window supplier/fitter. It has a hard white plastic skin with a dense foam like core. H-A
  6. The silky handle thread, has made me dig out a couple of knives that I made. Can't beat a bit of Burr. H-A
  7. Hi Dan, not sure what you mean by caps. Do you mean the rivets that go through the handle. These in this one are just a bit of 1/4" brass bar, assemble with epoxy, so not removable. I have used Corby rivets in the past for knives. https://www.brisa.fi/portal/index.php?option=com_oscommerce&osMod=index&cPath=153_385&language=en But for this saw I thought the handle was better glued and riveted on. 8. I bought a few ARS turbo cut pruning saws a few years ago, only a pound each, now wish I bought the whole box. I made a Walnut handle for one and it works very well, finished with gun stock oil. I will be making handles for the other blades but will give the handle some more curve. H-A

    New 200t on ebay.

There are some good second hand "sleepers" out there, if the sellers took them for repair, the repair would be expensive. I have bought a couple £150 -£200. Bit of seals, bearing, carb work now perfect. If you bought a new one in box, how could you ever use it. H-A
  10. This is cheap and strong, will hold the weight I would say. uPVC 20mm Squares in White - Suppliers Online | Eurocell H-A
  11. Is a sewing machine pedal any good? sewing machine foot pedal | eBay. Not sure of the current they can handle. H-A
  12. Can't see it would not work on other machines. Lip seals are fairly standard, all you are doing is hooking into the seal and extracting it in a controlled manner. In the States they just use "Dry Wall Screws" screw it into the seal and pull it out. I think Spud has said he has one of these, he will know better. I am more "dig out the old one" then take care fitting the new one, if you read the service books you will be surrounded by special tools. Improvise, and make special tools works for me. H-A
  13. is it this one? Genuine Stihl Oil Seal Pulling Device 5910 890 4400 Special Delivery | eBay H-A
  14. 2009 TIMBERWOLF TW150 WOOD CHIPPER | eBay
  15. 14.6 tonne H-A
  16. A mate of mine had a skip company, he said the best skips for him were marital disputes, she chucks all of his man toys and clothes in the skip. Those skips did not end up in landfill. He got the odd chainsaw or strimmer. H-A
  17. You could always phone him or text him, to ask if it is nicked. 07701 045103:biggrin: You can never have too many texts. H-A
  18. Exactly my point, won't be long before container loads of better quality saws hit the markets. Perhaps the Danarm brand should be bolstered, couple of million should do it. Quick visit to Beijing build a Husky- Stihl, evolution saw. "Buy British, buy Danarm" I can visualise the union jack on the bar. H-A
  19. How much would a "Rand Rover 90" cost, when LandRover stop perhaps the Chinese will fill the gap in the utility 4x4 market. H-A
  20. Slightly off topic, but if you are going to find things in the woods, then this would be cool. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jueDXiuU6aM]FW190 found in forest clearing - Outside of Leningrad - YouTube[/ame] H-A
  21. Cheap Chinese crap? I would say their learning curve is very steep, give them a couple of years to improve what they are producing, as the song says "Things can only get better". I know the car manufactures outside China are aware of the serious competition. Are the chain saw "big boys" upping their game? If they can not stay ahead with innovation, then the higher prices will not be justified, or accepted. All mass produced engines are now churned out by robot fed CNC machines, so it is only a matter of time before the tolerances are refined. Would you buy a 560xp inspired copy that was perfect for say £100, I would say these days are not far off. H-A
  22. My money is on this one. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/14-50DL-OREGON-Type-91-Multi-Cut-Saw-Chain-Multicut-/170793613265 Contact seller to confirm suitability. Not a normal chain, all I could find. H-A P.S. 91 vxl looks better
  23. I dont think they were that foolish trying to go through the Ford. Perhaps they thought they were in an Alvis Stalwart. Now that is the ultimate chipper dragger. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mr_pCrhTkk. H-A
  24. It looks a nice saw. I have a 142, not much grunt but very reliable. I would think the 135 could be a little better. H-A
  25. Shame to drown it, hope it is a simple electrical fault. How much is a new lump? H-A
