  1. Try paying 40% tax that really hurts:biggrin: Luck of the draw buying from the states, try and get them to put gift or sample on the label. H-A
  2. That is what I was thinking, it should have been ok. Difflocks in they go anywhere. I have seen LandRovers wading with the water near the roof. H-A
  3. Just a bit more orange. Let me short cut the debate, is your local dealer Husqvarna or Stihl? This is important, as is also the view that it may be better to by cheap and replace regularly. I personally would buy the most expensive that you can afford. H-A
  4. Rabbit pie time, that is bad luck. H-A
  5. This looks nice and just in your price range. http://honeybros.com/media/Brands/Husqvarna/PDFs/445e.pdf I find it always pays to spend the most you can on tools buy quality buy once. No doubt others with more experience will have a different view:biggrin: H-A
  6. These work well and are cheap Cater Safe Disposable Over-Shoes Blue Pack of 100 | Screwfix.com I always have some in the van. H-A
  7. About 18 mths, works well, I have a small one for very small items, but it is nice to be able to get bigger bits in it. Make sure you put water in it before plugging it in, almost cooked mine. H-A
  8. I have one of these, 13l. Industrial Grade Professional Ultrasonic Cleaner Heater For Lab Dental | eBay I was also told the ones with knobs last better than the digital ones. I only use hot water and detergent, for cleaning. H-A

    saw porting

Blair did a lot with British Seagull, developing the QB range (Queens Belfast). There are a few 2 stroke tuning books to down load on the net. I have 3 in PDF form, not chainsaw specific but same principles apply, pm me if you want me to email them to you. H-A
  10. I hope so as I also deleted my first email, I have my last email and my last ticket number is 1887, so that make £9435, that was at about 12.01. H-A
  11. Wood block were used for road surfaces, laid end grain up, like wooden cobbles. I spoke to some one who had burnt some one an open fire, because of the tar they burn well but embedded stones exploded. I have seen small areas of road, constructed like that. H-A

    Oregon chain

Yes I did return it, the quality of the Oregon looks much better than the Windsor, better rivets, better links, oil holes in the drive links. Having had a close look, do Oregon make the Husqvarna chains. They look very similar, or am I missing something? H-A
  13. It works well for this guy, he must carry his balls in a wheel barrow. Same angle of gob cut just upside down, tree should fall same amount before it lifts off the hinge. H-A
  14. Yes en-route to wood burner:001_smile: Look the same to me. H-A

They can't be that good, they stopped making them in 2011. H-A

    Oregon chain

Seller sent me the one that I wanted. Happy now. Spot the difference in construction. H-A
  17. Prunus padus My guess. H-A
  18. I always thought that a former or falsework was used for roofs like that. Clever guy, would love to see him try on a wet British day using flettons. Those bricks must be dry, to produce that amount of suction. H-A
  19. I would say it is slightly different, the TC-W3 that I use in outboards is formulated to burn at a lower temperature, than chain saw oil. I use chain saw oil for chain saws, and outboard oil for outboards. H-A
  20. Is it not a TS350 with a chain:biggrin: Looks very similar, loads of TS 350s about, if the bits are the same. H-A
  21. I would not say there is a definitive answer to reducing the oil in the mix. In the states the antique outboard collectors have a saying "it had been 50 to 1d", resulting in a classic engine being ruined. Perhaps the older outboards are a little more sensitive. I run my Dolmar 115i on 50:1, no problems. H-A

I thought I could not "name and shame" as it was against forum rules. H-A

    Oregon chain

"OREGON SAW CHAIN. 15" INCHES LONG 64 x DL . 325 .050". Fit's Husqvarna 136 141 236 240 236 electric 317electric. Direct replacement for original chain." This is the Graphic that was used. Call it what you will passing off cheaper Windsor chain as more expensive Oregon chain is fraud. H-A

    Oregon chain

The guy is a power seller, has a shop on ebay, listing over 200 chainsaw related items. He also hand wrote "50J 64" on the Oregon box. I would say he knows. H-A

Thanks for the answers, that is what I thought. I have open a case with Ebay, I know it is not loads of money but I hate being ripped off. H-A
