The air shocks are quite simple, just connect the two pipes together and inflate. I bought a load of these as NOS and intend to try some on the cherry picker.

Monroe used to do a load levelled shock absorber, basically pump the thing up with compressed air and it raised the car. Its the best of both worlds but you really need an onboard compressor and a dump valve . There are some in the shed, will take some snaps of them. Bob

It cant be the ram Mr Scale, its only a single action. Fluid goes in the same port as it exits, if it was duff all your fluid would be on the floor. Its either air in the system or body mods such as high sides or lockers have increased the weight which in turn will increase the speed of descent. If its the latter it can be controlled with a restrictor in the dump ports of the pump unit. Bob

When I changed the back lights on my IW to led`s I noticed they had hand written the serial number in felt pen behind the units. I dont know if they still do this but its another concealed number thats worth checking if you are having doubts. Bob

Parish councils do have their own patches to maintain, gives them something to do and makes them feel important. We do a bit for them and they have their own little budget for small works. Its not normally cut throat so worth pricing and may lead onto other things. Bob

Forgot to add that you dont need to sharpen your pencil too much with Parish councils, they dont expect the same contractor rates the borough councils enjoy. Bob

I would take the legs off your puller and wrap two pieces of chain around the box and bolt the ends together, slip you puller under the chain and push off of that. Worth a try. Bob

Yes , he lives in it all year round. I just leave the tailgate up, he is obsessed with travelling about with me and stays in there on his own free will despite having a heated kennel. Bob

Cant see it being an issue for the PTO clutch, I narrowly missed a six pot turbo fordson tractor winch and all of the PTO worked on that. I would imagine its just flywheel mods because the rest is the same. Bob

No issues like that for me, I leave the truck wide open all day and have never lost anything. If you want to nick it the keys are under the dog, you will need to wearing cut proof onesies Bob

Along the same lines, these cheap draper testers are good because the lead will reach the drivers seat . Handy for testing sockets if you are on your own. Bob
