  1. Steel does it but only because of the iron content in it.
  2. I bought an early model one on gumtree because it was cheap. It's quicker to clamp than the workmate but the dual height workmate is better as a bench or table.
  3. Are Shackletons doing any harnesses or possibly a Stannah tree lift ?
  4. If it's still holding the bar and only leaking a bit of oil I think I would live with it.
  5. If it did you are in the wrong job
  6. No he's one letter away from George Forman though
  7. Unless you just crashed your car then it would be fully comprehensive is the best policy. Are you annoyed yet ?
  8. You lot need therapy.
  9. They left it like that because they know it pees you off Advantage is you can't fall down the ladder if you use it upside down;)
  10. Probably because he has nothing constructive to add, like us eh!

    Trousers

Do you go that much faster in your new trousers ? I would compare Burtons to Saville Row for trousers I think
  12. Did you collect the mistletoe to sell at Christmas ? Nice video.
  13. That's what I thought and the picture at the end shows a back handle kick back warning Me too I like his tree work videos but that was a bit of a ramble.
  14. Have a look at it on the level.
  15. You are getting about double what my friend was getting out of his Rav4. He got rid because he struggled to get into the 20 mpg bracket.
  16. Opposite way round to the original but a chap I worked with put diesel in his old 1.3 Escort Mk3. He realised after about 1/2 gallon and just topped up with petrol. He was laying a James Bond smoke screen for the rest of the week
  17. A friend of a friend has had one for a few years and not complained about it so it must be o.k. as he does like to moan. I had the older model for about 5 years and it was fine but it was a petrol and a bit thirsty.
  18. Calm down, calm down !
  19. The blog is on about rear handle saws, I would never try to use one of those one handed no matter how small the saw. Top handle saws are a different concept surely.

    Tiny echo!

It keeps him happy and doesn't cost anything, leave him alone
  21. What happened to them doing bob a job ? Is it Brexit again ?
  22. I get that with Birch and Ash trees growing in every available bit of soil in the shed gutter and garden.
  23. He probably thinks if you start doing the job you will want the pro climber rate. If you are supplying your own saw to run his business that's down to you, suppose it broke would he replace it or pay for a repair ?
  24. Page 8 of today's Sun there is about 1/2" column space saying that plans to fell about 60 Lime trees planted 1918 in honour of fallen World War one soldiers have been met with opposition. Bit late by the look of it.
  25. They should have gone lots of times, they were in the grounds of a nursing/old folks home.
