  1. Seen this done before and they seem to forget the oiler so the chain and bar are not going to last.
  2. Get another Timex and buy her something with the change. I've had mine over 20 years and it's lost a lot of its functions but it still tells the time.
  3. Stihl dealers carry these parts or can order them for you. I recently got a brake handle screw with a top hat washer from the local dealer after a couple of days wait. L&S show them available with a few days wait for delivery for a 440 but it's most likely a common part.
  4. Let's see Klaus the forklift driver now [ame] [/ame]
  5. Stop reading now
  6. And getting the saw into the ground quite a lot as well as knackering your knees. It looks like a good idea.
  7. What grease should I use on my nose sprocket ? Don't use any it sucks in cosmic particles and will cause a wormhole transporting you to another dimension where you will be tormented for the rest of eternity with questions about what saw to buy and which trousers and boots are best and what do you use to knock wedges in and are they the right colour wedges for softwood and am I allowed to climb a tree with a wood pigeon in it in case it's thinking of building a nest ? I know because it happened to me, Help me !
  8. Watched it through and I think after the first gob cut the chain suddenly becomes sharper.
  9. No it's a fake, one of those Chusky copies. Here's a proper 362XP

    STIHL battery saw

Black gaffer tape that would have been a permanent repair
  11. Use Aspen, you'll be careful not to spill any then The brickies' spot board sounds good and the growbag tray.
  12. Saves doing the rakers if you leave it like that
  13. How did he drag that out for over 9 minutes ? All that will achieve is wearing your file out quicker
  14. It's a telegraph pole.
  15. About as good as your links to actual evidence ....bro.....
  16. Probably built by Valter Karlsson on line 3
  17. More than that, that's empirical bro
  18. If that was the case using a car analogy wouldn't they charge more as your accident free driving increased as you would be inevitably increasing the risk every time you go out in the car. I give up trying to understand your logic and leave you to your empirical statistics etc.
  19. When did this become law and what I don't understand is your use of exponentially. If I go to work for 3 days (theoretical time only ) and don't have any accidents on the fourth day am I four times more likely to have an accident. I would eventually not go out if that was the case as I would be guaranteed to have an accident.
  20. Nice toy, when I worked at a local foundry we had a Weatherill bucket loader for cleaning up and it was good to get in and scrape the floor and load the dumper.
  21. It is a downer, what is it based on ? Are you exponentially more at risk each day because you didn't have any accidents the day before ? Wear and tear on the body shouldn't affect you till you get to the age where you don't regenerate or if you keep doing the harmful stuff instead of learning. Are you doing something the others aren't and not charging enough for it ? I don't think exponential is a very good word to use in this sense if you are not doing anything different you are not in any more danger.
  22. Did you get the fishnets and suspenders to go with it
  23. Take the clutch off and check the oil pump drive is spinning freely on the crank. Mine stuck on after it was stood for a few weeks. I pulled it and cleaned the inside up with 240 grit emery till it slid on freely then greased it and built it back up and it's been fine for the last couple of years.
  24. Try a stronger spring on the governor. As above they don't usually alter the mixture just the throttle opening. I've not seen one on a saw wither but plenty of 4 stroke lawnmowers. Is the saw flooding ?
  25. On the allotments near here one chap used willow withies for pea sticks and almost every one struck.
