  1. Just set fire to it then they should know what to do.
  2. I got that with my 036 and a new choke lever made no difference, thinking it might be a worn out trigger. If the saw is running and I push the choke lever down it speeds up but it will not lock there.
  3. Check the pipes to the turbo or the turbo itself.
  4. No, camping is something that is definitely better done while it's still dry.
  5. Why would someone who mainly does hedge work buy a 6" chipper when a shredder for £800 would more than do the job ?
  6. No I was being flippant, sarcasm is something completely different. I'll let you know when I'm being sarcastic.
  7. Don't dip your scrotum in it then:lol: Why do they make chain oil when there are all these cheaper alternatives ? I use the Husqvarna one at the moment, it's quite thin.
  8. Alder roots show up like that when they are exposed on the bank of the brook near us.
  9. Leave it and it will mod itself like Ollie's did
  10. Australian camera ?
  11. It's a weekend warrior wood fairy, looks like my Berlingo
  12. I've been burning some Poplar just lately and I've found the ash dust has increased and floats all over the place like burnt paper. It's not a problem I just dust more often at the moment. I made a box to carry the ash pan through the house so it is confined more to the area of the fireplace.
  13. Who told you this ? I used my old Dynamac on cheap oil and unleaded for many years and it's run quite nicely on Aspen even though the manufacturer recommended 25:1 mix originally. I used to run it 40:1 anyway because it smoked like an ex miner on 25:1. The carbon doesn't fly off in big lumps it's only a thin coating and it goes out the exhaust as it burns up.
  14. Everything is made from recycled something these days, that's not a problem. The tolerances are what causes problems. A 200t is not really a log pile saw you should be using a back handle for ground work or the climbing fraternity will haul you off and have you flogged with a strop Spud will probably recommend a supplier, he likes doing 220 t repairs.
  15. Way beyond our capabilities then, I'll just keep pulling it till it floods
  16. It's still up and at £162, a lot for a jigsaw puzzle but somebody wants it.
  17. Aren't type C recommended when working around other cutters rather than in trees ?
  18. I could be tha Fibonacci sequence applies, the so called golden ratio that appears in nature regularly.
  19. Do you have a mark on the trigger to show where 80% throttle occurs ? I don't understand your logic and will not be convinced any saw should be run at reduced revs. Agree to differ and all that (but not really)
  20. The wood yard owner where I worked said to me "There's no mercy in a saw"
  21. That's just you, my 135 starts no trouble and I can undo the oil cap with my finger and thumb. A friend of mine bought a MS181 same time as I got my 135 and he had it back to the shop 5 times as it wouldn't oil the bar. It's about 3 years old now and his 181 is a pig to start and runs like a bag of, he's not neglected it either. If I was going for one now I think I would look at the Echo CS-310ES
  22. Saws are not meant to run at part throttle, this is counterproductive and will not cut faster than a small saw as the chain speed will be reduced. You'll just wear the saw out quicker.
  23. I have an old 036 I bought to play about with. If it stopped working and I couldn't fix it its a 20 year old saw and I would go out and replace it. Get something that works and use your 028 as a project saw and buy a cheap saw for the work you need to do like my 135 or a MS181.
  24. Study Walbro and Zama diaphragm carbs to see how they work. Here's a simplified youtube to get you started. You'll see that the valves are part of the carb. There's a test to see if the needle valve is sealing shown in the Walbro video (second one) Strip your carb and clean it out then put it back together and check everything is in the right place and the right way up. 25. Get some amalgamating tape from Screwfix (other places supply as well)
