  1. What's a gym ? That's an elbow plank, a normal plank is with the arms fully extended and palms flat on the floor.
  2. But if the saw had not broken the piston stop It probably didn't like you using a Stihl piston stop
  3. TDC is at the top, you don't move down to it
  4. Where can you see the prices? I can't find them on their website.
  5. I was up the Birch in our back garden cutting it down with my bow saw, don't tell Bolam but I was wearing a T22/2 Willans kindly donated to me by htb in Aberdeenshire. I don't climb on it just use it to fasten myself to the tree and I will agree it is heavy but it does the job and makes me feel more secure.
  6. Have you heard the Tony Blackburn woodchop man song ? Please don't hold it against me. [ame] [/ame]
  7. Print her a sticker for future occurrences. It's spelt wrong because it in American but you get the idea
  8. What's prosterity ? Is it a cross between posterity and prosperity ? It amazes me how quickly these frames go up and get clad.
  9. Door to door tree surgeons are not to be trusted then, who'd have thought it ?
  10. Not really a job as it's in our back garden but I'm taking the trunk down to the bottom and just leaving the back one. This tree had four separate trunks and was overhanging next door either side, we don't know when it grew so big. My missus is the groundie on this job, she's going up the next one.
  11. It would probably be a good climber though
  12. You can always get off at the next stop
  13. Brother in law did one at a friends house with the 3CX. He dug round with the back actor with a small bucket then rocked the stump to loosen it up and pulled it with a chain to finish it off. It wasn't a massive stump but I wouldn't have fancied digging it out with a spade.
  14. I think it's probably more that nobody on here has used them so can not give an opinion. You could buy one and find it suits you down to the ground then pass your experience on for anyone else who might be in the same position. Personally I bought an old Stihl 036 for £120 on Gumtree and with a bit of tinkering it's been good.
  15. Cut the tops off flat, step back and say "ta daaa"
  16. Nature's a bitch ain't it ?
  17. I don't live near but Whitby gets its fair share of oddball events with Goths and Morris men.
  18. I did mine at home, we needed a new dining table and chairs anyway.
  19. Get some growbag trays from B&Q and some spill mats from RS or a garage supplier. You can buy it on the roll for about £50 should last ages.
  20. You look old in your photo It's a number of posts activated thing, don't worry about it.
  21. Tap the link to shadow of the apple tree Mark.

    My new dog.

Our wire haired dog had little man syndrome, anything bigger than him was due for a fight so he had to be on the lead. The smooth bitch was placid as anything with other dogs but cats were just prey. People told me a dog would not tackle a cornered cat but she just steamed in and grabbed them. I had to rescue next door but one's Burmese, it was on our garden round the guinea pig hutch and she chased it and grabbed it. I caught it after she threw it up in the air and it latched onto the gate and I took it round to them. It didn't go out of their house for ages after. She used to dunk hedgehogs in any convenient water, picked them up with her front teeth on the spines but I took them off her if I caught her. She was dead crafty though and would take stuff to hide if she thought she was going to get caught.

    My new dog.

Not judging you at all, if you are happy with the cat up there that's fine by me I love the Fox Terrier, we've had two. First one was a wire haired dog and he was a bit alternative. If he didn't like someone that was it they couldn't do anything to change his mind and he would not take food from anyone outside the house. Second one was a smooth haired bitch and she was lovely but she was a killing machine, birds, rabbits, mice, rats or anything that moved really.

    My new dog.

Do you let the dog roam round the work surfaces ? That's why I don't eat food prepared at my sister's house
  25. I don't think it would be fast enough to drive a chain effectively, a bandsaw blade would be more appropriate for a 4 stroke.
