  1. That's probably why you aren't making sense I'm not defending the neighbour. If the trees were there and a reasonable height when they moved in and they have grown in a short time (as Leylandii do) then what will they be like in a few more years and how much more is it going to cost to sort out later ? Doesn't anyone else have a problem with the trees, it's not 6 o' clock all day and it must affect neighbours on other sides at different times of day. I agree the tree owners are being thoughtless and they look like Leylandii which are thoroughly horrible trees in the wrong setting which is any garden not attached to a stately home.
  2. Why, have they got boyfriends ?
  3. Were the trees there when you moved in and have they gained much height while you have lived there ? I think there is more context needed to get a fuller grasp of the situation. Looking at your picture if I was the neighbour I would be glad to see the back of the hedge as well.
  4. Not sure what happened to it. The plug looked like it had been running a perfect mix before it seized.
  5. Please elaborate, I'm sure the original poster will be pleased to hear your explanation. I will continue in my disillusioned state along with a lot of other people. Just read my post and it should say coniferous evergreens not conifers or evergreens, sorry for any confusion. Holly is an evergreen and a hardwood of course but not coniferous.
  6. A Stihl 044 with a poorly piston. Bloke said it had had a pot and piston before but it has a Stihl cylinder which should clean up with some brick acid. The saw was filthy, fetched no end of greasy sawdust out of it.
  7. Any deciduous is hardwood, conifers or evergreens are softwood. Funny because balsa is classed as a hardwood but I don't make the rules So your Lime is hardwood.
  8. Some come on a bicycle And some go on a bus. Lyrical innit
  9. It's not far from Derby if that's any help
  10. Whose nose can he pick then ? We got some nose pickers round here, nose picker da english I had an aunt on my mother's side who was twice removed, once by the police.
  11. 135 was not toolless, that was 135e. I've had a 135 for 4 years now and it's lasted better than my friend's Stihl 181 bought at the same time. Mine does get regular maintenance and cleaning though. I use a Stihl as well and a Chinese top handle just don't feel or understand the need to slag other makes. If anything comes loose on mine it gets tightened up not used to destruction.
  12. Really helpful stuff there
  13. 56 is the number of links for the Husqvarna 16 inch bar. If the Oregon is wider it may need more drive links. If you fit the chain to the bar groove how much is left to go over the clutch?
  14. Back handle something like the Echo CS-281 WES, 26cc and 3.1kg dry weight. If it's wood small enough to carry a bow saw might be a good idea, lighter than a chainsaw.
  15. There is nothing in a breather to close it off so it is constantly open to allow for the expansion when it heats up and the air to enter when fuel is used. What is the point of the thread ? Some people get lucky and don't have problems with leaving standing fuel and some are unlucky and need carb repairs. It would be wise to put some fuel stabiliser in if left for months, How many saws do you see on sites like Gumtree with "it worked when I put it away but it won't start now" or "was running fine but now won't tick over" ? I know I've seen lots.
  16. I doubt it seeing as they are in Basildon It's only about 200 miles away though.
  17. That was my first thought. They don't give the genus of tree or it's age though like, the oak, 85, suffered unexplained damage and could have fallen on a child or a person (what's the difference ?) These things do happen for no apparent reason, there are some healthy Plane trees on High street here and a couple of weeks ago the top 10 feet of one in the middle of the clump snapped off during the night bringing down branches on a couple of the others.

Me too but they can save the casing a battering. Big twin ones are a bit showy though on anything under 4 foot
  19. Rain now through till Saturday according to the forecast.
  20. I was watching a magpie trying to get to a collared dove nest in a conifer down the road it was hopping round the tree and a dove just flew straight into it and knocked it out of the tree. Plucky I thought. Sent from my KFFOWI using Arbtalk mobile app
  21. If that's a Husqvarna my c**k's a kipper It's not even a good copy.If the bar and chain are good it's about reached it's price there. [ame] [/ame]

The famous hard working Pole reputation is not what it seems eh ?
  23. Almost 5 weeks to fledge from hatching usually.
  24. It's been resting all day
  25. I bought a Chinese top handle for a one off job a few (4 I think) years ago. I put a carb kit in it this year as it was acting up and it seems fine again now and it is getting Aspen instead of 25:1 mix which it says in the instructions. It's not the Timberpro it was a cheaper version but it looks identical. I used it a couple of weeks ago and it fired up third or fourth pull after standing for a while.
