  1. Find a local bead blast outfit, shot blasting is too rough for sheet metal it will rip it to pieces. Get that bit done yourself then sort the painting out after. Whereabouts are you ? Someone local might recommend a blast outfit for you.
  2. Itinerant termites, any of the neighbours been on holiday to Devon ? It's usually down to gravity causing them to fall, the ones I've seen have failed at the junction with the trunk where the bark has split and water got in.
  3. Look at an exploded parts diagram to show where everything goes, it gives you an idea.
  4. Have I heard this right, your mate got £150 from the bloke for groundying and you are only getting offered £200 for dropping the tree and cutting it up ? Has he got his money yet ?
  5. He found you could only take so much away before it affected the reliability of his cars and the drivers got pissy though.
  6. It will only be a different size guard, the disk centres are same.
  7. Near Hallowe'en
  8. It takes dedication, I do it with hand cream as well
  9. That one should be in the "how not to" column, did the chain actually go round ?
  10. It will not do your chains any good running them on knackered sprockets if they bottom out.
  11. Is there a footpath on the opposite side for pedestrians to use if you close that one off ?
  12. I was given some lined Arco leather gloves and they stop pretty much everything apart from the most vicious thorns but not enough gets through to do any serious damage.
  13. That's my super power finding hidden dog turds with my feet.
  14. No it's from Lidl
  15. The split surface looks like Beech I think.
  16. And quite a few snails I see as well :D. Hello Nat.
  17. We went to Skeggy for a day in 76 and the beach was a sea of ladybirds. August 09 we were in Mablethorpe and there was a similar plague of ladybirds. There was a fence round the campsite and you could scoop them in handfuls off the top of the fence.
  18. Monsoon season here I think, it's still hitting 30°c in the greenhouse on our back garden during the day. That's without heating and even the wind is blowing warm. It's near Morecambe, a Wise man once told me.
  19. I had a tetanus shot a couple of months ago and they are nothing like they used to be. I used to go in with a cut and come out with a limp. The one I just had I asked if she had actually done it as I didn't feel anything and it was in the arm.
  20. Just had a look on Youtube and they look handy. I wondered where the hydraulic came into it and it clamps the chain as you lower the grinder, nifty tool. Lots of adjustments on it as well and it looks sturdy.
  21. Only spares I bother with is spark plugs and chains, just get the others when you need them.
  22. His mum wouldn't be seen dead with anything less than a 550xp. ?
  23. It sounds like the carb needs some attention or adjusting at least. Once it's started it should keep running and start easier with a simple pull.
