    Impulse Hose

I have an Einhell GC pc 1335 tc that I recently fitted new fuel lines to. Since then the saw runs and revs lean and will not carb tune. It may be an air leak or something to do with the impulse line. The impulse hose seems to run from the cylinder to nowhere and is capped with a screw into the hose. Can someone give me advice on impulse lines in general and how they are supposed to work?
  2. I have enough " proper saws" till they come out of my ears. I asked for help on this forum because I was not used to dealing with Chinese chainsaws. You had better get used to them because it won't be long before all the " proper saws" are made in China. Unless you have something useful to post I suggest you zip it pal.
  3. Big help brother. Just to let you know that I fitted a smaller diameter fuel line and the little thing is now running like a dream. The saw cost me £50 inc. p.&p. and has done about a grand's worth of work.
  4. Bought the above about 1 year ago. Has been running fine until recently but now will not idle. Will not run unless throttled. Cleaned carb and fitted new fuel lines. Same result. Could it be an air leak. I noticed that there is no gasket between boot opening and carb. Thinking of using Hylomar in that area. Any thoughts guys?.
  5. Anyone here drill out larger oiler port holes on bars especially over 20inch and how affective do they find it?.

    Clutch spring

Thanks everybody, I will try to post a photo. I have bought a spare clutch on ebay from GHS. However you can also buy the spring only which leads me to believe that there is some way to fix it onto the clutch without giving yourself a hernia. The problem has so far got me beat!!!
  7. A friend of mine has a type of 58cc generic chinese chainsaw and has asked me to have a look at it as the spring has become detached from the clutch. I have fitted a new clutch spring at least twice to my Husky 288XP which, dare I say it is similar, but this type of outboard clutch has me stumped. Any of our kind readers have any tips for re-inserting the clutch spring on this chinese type clutch. Any help will be appreciated.

    Help Required

Thanks to all who gave positive info. however I have now decided to mothball the MT 999 to the nether regions of my garage. It worked for nigh on 4yrs. and got through about 5 tons of red alder and cost me £55 on ebay with free p&p!!!

    Help Required

Cheers mate. The oiler is working OK as i have tested it with the clutch cover removed but there is little if no oil running along the bar. I have an adjuster and turned it to max. but with no change. I was just wondering if I drilled out the oiler hole to a larger diameter would it make any difference. I have plenty of other saws which are working perfectly but this problem is really bugging me and I would like to solve.

Ah well back to my 10yr.old 211. At least the Chinese thing lasted longer than the Husky 236 that I recently binned!!!
  11. Hi All, About 3 yrs. ago I bought a cheap chinese chainsaw model MT 999 52cc mainly to find out if it was any good. The engine has always been pretty good despite not pumping out as much power as a 52cc motor should and starts without fail in any weather. However little if any bar oil is now getting to the 20inch bar despite in depth cleaning and blowing out with compressed air.I have removed the oil pump and cleaned it out and tested it and it works well with oil getting to the oil port on running. A farmer friend of mine has the same problem with the same type of saw and I have tried without success to help him out. Is it possible that the oiler hole on the bar is too small and should be drilled out larger. I have quite a few other chainsaws which I service and maintain myself and have always managed to solve problems but his has completely stumped me. Any help would be appreciated.
