  1. I understood the electronic to refer to the ignition instead of the points and condenser and the quick stop to the chain brake as opposed to not having one not meaning that the brake was applied electronically just that it has both as added features.
  2. According to Bill it's 2,500 idle and 12,500 max. I don't know what a low speed is as my saws don't have one. The start point on the mix screws is 1 and 1 turns out from closed.
  3. I base my life philosophy on something I learnt from a box of matches. Keep warm, dry and away from children.
  4. The dark bit looks like Mahogany. I like to leave a few bits longer and then if I get bored I can split them down and make spoons or whittle something out of the wood pile.
  5. It's overcast here so there was no chance of watching the eclipse but it did go cool and shady for a while, dropped from 14°c to 7°c and now it's brightening and warming back up. Nearest stone circle to us is Nine Ladies and it's not very impressive but you do get some loonies wandering round there at equinox.
  6. He died in 1997. He was more suited to life in water than on land.

    Veg oil

If you use veg oil does your chain cut cleaner chips ? Do you leave it in the saw when you are not using it ? I've seen bars caked in oil which has set and does it do the same in the tank or pipe and pump ?
  9. Two nations divided by a common language I believe the saying goes.
  10. I bought a Penguin Café CD a while back and it's still on the multi play and enjoying it lots. Here's my song that makes my eyes water. I want a Uke like Iz. [ame] [/ame]
  11. I chuck the ash from the wood burner round the bottom of the apple tree in the garden and it doesn't do it any harm but I don't know if it does it any good either.
  12. After serious consideration we've come up with a solution, the Easter Bunny left it.
  13. We used to use similar and called them a brushing hook or knife for siding up Hawthorn hedges and slashing brambles.
  14. Get it in the airing cupboard it could be your Christmas dinner A friend of mine used to keep a few geese and the eggs are really nice but one scrambled was enough for me and my missus.

    Tree ID

It looks like a Hazel twig, how big was the tree ?
  17. Good news then, hope it keeps up for you. It's nice to hear a success story and if it's better than before it's a double bonus.
  18. See, that's why I always wear my toecaps
  19. How's Matty's 560 going now ? We must be due an update on it
  20. Don't put your finger where you wouldn't put something you value very highly. Why does it always have to be wrapped up in mush like "what you'd like to tell your past self" and not just "what I wish I'd done instead of wasting my time" When you are young you are not thinking like a mature adult and if you went back and told yourself what to do you would probably tell yourself where to go with your future advice
  21. I remember a splitter like a Hicrack powered by a Citroen. [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzZb1GkUKhc[/ame]
  22. I Hoovered up this afternoon, wish I'd got the Morphy Richards NLS73415
  23. Chips away man who comes to the bike shop has a hot air gun with an attachment that makes a great job of plastic welding.
  24. That's what I thought. There's obviously something at the bottom of the tree that he didn't want to stand in.
  25. Or a 2.25 petrol Land Rover, when I was working on school grounds we regularly got into single figures towing the pitch marking tackle or triple mower.
